My 5, 7, 10 year old nieces watch Criminal Minds.

It just kills me that this women, that calls herself a mother, makes these poor choices.

Funny thing is that that same person would probably freak if the kids saw a nipple.

Why? Does he think his daughters are lesbians?

All kidding aside... like make your kids act out scenes from your favourite television shows and movies...

Looks like the Airdrie Recycle Depot accepts TVs at their East Lake location.

Apparently it can be fixed, but the cost to replace the LCD panel is pretty close to what the whole TV would cost new, so it's not really worth it. My brother got lucky because he had paid for his TV with a credit card that had a purchase insurance policy, so he was able to get it replaced. Not sure how you paid for yours or how long those purchase insurance things last, but it might be worth looking into.

Serious? I know usually VISA will double the manufactures warranty, but I would doubt that “my kid snapped it with a hockey stick” would qualify. Do you know what card he managed to get this with? Something good to know for future purposes…

Put it on Ebay, or try and sell it to a repair centre. lots of good parts in there still, Samsung has had power supply issues so if yours was working you may be able to get a few bucks for it.

I know the platinum AMEX does this - I managed to get reimbursed for shoes I bought in London and wrecked in Rome 3 days later.

Some also have a 3 month insurance on broken/lost/stolen items as well.

I called Visa when one of my neighbours' kids put a huge dent in my brand new stainless steel fridge. As I suspected, I did not have purchase coverage; but if I did it would have been covered.

The problem with the purchase coverage card is has an annual fee, plus a higher interest rate. So if I had taken that kind of Visa originally; I would have been out more money than what the fridge cost. (Because I do carry a balance.)
