The kid just reacted and probably happened to have some scissors in his hand.

I think he sprayed him with a Febreeze bottle, that deoderizer stuff.

I'd be p*ssed off too if someone sprayed me with Febreeze. Don't think I'd go so far as to throw a pair of scissors, but yeah.. I can understand the fat kid being p*ssed off.

If you get pierced like that, there is no blood for the first while unless it punctures a major artery, but the scissors are pretty deep and are plugging the wound. Look how its hanging off like that, you can't fake that much weight on an arm, especially at the speed of film.

I saw this awhile ago, I wouldn't say it's fat kid getting revenge. That "bully" is probably the hero of his floor and legend around his school now at being so cool with a sharp implement sticking out of him and that fat kid is probably ostrasized even more as a guy who can't take a little spray and blows his temper like a little kid so much that he almost killed the coolest guy on campus.

The blade of scissors is sharp but the end is pretty dull and blunt. They physically wouldn't be able to penetrate in my opinion. Just try throwing them at something like drywall to see if you can get then to stick it. I think you will just get a marked up wall. Further more you never see the scissors go anywhere in the video. The guy could have just made a throwing motion and put them on the ground.

Defenitely real. The blue bottle is fabreeze and scissors can go through skin (or drywall).
I fabreezed a friend once and took a picture. Good thing he didn't have scissors in his hands. next time I will think twice.

That has to be real. You can't attach a fake a makeup appliance that quick and I can't see any editing tricks in the video. Also the reactions of the kids are very realistic.

edit- at first i didn't find that video funny in the least, but upon repeat viewings it makes me laugh harder and harder.

My take on it.. as much as I want it to be fake, I think its real. This obviously wasn't the first time they were bugging this kid and he was prepared for what they were about to do. The kid finally snapped and tossed some scissors at him, although I don't think he thought that was going to happen.

I'm guessing this isn't the first time this kid has been harassed. He probably just snapped.

The bully totally deserves the scissors and any resulting blood infections he gets.

I don't know how you figure it is definately real. I just tossed some scissors at an old sofa cushion and some drywall and I found two things. First the scissors will not go though either. They will leave a little mark but that is all. The second problem has to do with the weight distribution of the scissors. When I threw them pretty hard, as you would expect is required, the began to roll and the handle hit rather than the blades. The weight of scissors is more like an axe rather than a spear. Thus it rolls when thrown. Since the video would require a spear like penetraion I don't see how this could have really happened., especially how the guy threw the scissors. To even make a mark he would have to use a spear liuke throwing style which would then not have the required velocity to do much more then create a small mark. So I agree it will go through skin, but the video shows it going through a significant ammount of flecsh also.

I'm gonna have to say FAKE.
No blood, no sound of scissor impact, the water bottle spray was made by a mouth, and the swish sound of the scissor was put into the video after the fact. Coincidence that the arm went out of view when he was to throw it? I think not.

I give a B+ for effort.
Agreed. Blood would be gushing like a fountain and punk kid would be crying on his knees if it's real.

Not all the time, if the would still had the object wedged in their nice and tight(like it was) the would probably wouldn't be gushing yet... when removed it would. Also, adreniline can be an amazing thing, I doubt I'm the only one who has been injured somehow and the injury didn't hurt right away.. its not until you calm down and realize what has happened does it start to hurt.

A couple weeks ago I lodged a rather large staple into my thumb, it didn't hurt at all until about 5 minutes later.

I disagree. If the object is still lodged in there firmly then no blood is going to come out immediately. And if the kid goes into shock right away he isn't going to feel the pain.

I think the thing is suspicious because I don't think scissors can easily break skin like that but on the other hand I don't see how they can fake the scissors sticking out of his arm.

I can vouch for the "no pain at first" part. I partially severed my left index finger at the second knucle about 18 months ago (a wonderful ER doc at the Peter Lougheed left me with no more than a two inch hairline scar) and it didn't hurt for the first few minutes... after that... OMG!

I have a friend who was stabbed 3 times and didin't even realize it until about 10 mins later. He thought he was being punched and only realized he was stabbed after alot of blood. The power of shock can get you through alot of pain. Not everything that looks painful, is painful immediately.

As for scissors going through things such as walls or skin, they won't everytime but of course this was a fluke occurance. I once through a playing card at the wall and it stuck in sideways. If a card can stick a wall, so can scissors.

After all of your testimonies I stand corrected, let's just say I feel fortunate enough to have never experienced severe injury first hand

I have been a witness to the "no pain at first" phenomena. Way back in the day, a group of us were on electric ave, none of us had a watch so my buddy ran up to and asked some guy for the time. The guy got scared, thought he was being mugged, so he kicked my friend in the nuts. My friend one-punched the guy, and when he saw that the guy wasn't getting back up he then keeled over in pain from being kicked in the nuts.

According to my wife, a registered nurse with seventeen years experience, the video is real. I was once playing touch football in the street, and I fell onto a parked car, snapping off the antenna. The broken antenna tore a furrow in my arm like you wouldn't believe. It took 10-15 seconds for the blood to pour.

In the video, I think the fact that the scissors remained impaled in the guy's arm helped to staunch the flow of blood, too.
