Wow this is the biggest disappointment by a long shot for mac users. I thought it was going to be an actual client but all it is is a mac shell that is running the windows client. What a joke - SimonT should not be advertising this as a mac client because it is the exact same thing as running it in bootcamp or parallels

Ok here is step by step how to get it working on a mac.

1. Create a folder named CPHL, I recommend creating it on the desktop (I will explain why later)

2. Download the roster files here:
http://cphl.calgarypuck.com/cgi-bin/...d.cgi?simfiles

3. Unzip the files in the zip and place them into the folder named CPHL that we created earlier.

4. Download Mono Project at the following link:
http://www.go-mono.com/mono-downloads/download.html
Select Mac OS X and download the appropriate one depending on the type of mac you have.

5. Install Mono Project by running the .dmg that it comes with.

5. Download the so called "mac" client at the following link:
http://sths.simont.info/DownloadFile...ono-0-9-11.zip

6. Unzip this file and put it into the CPHL folder we created, you should have "SimonTHockeySimulator.exe" and "CPHL1.stc" in this folder now.

7. This is where it gets ######ed. Go to the top right of your mac where there is a little magnified glass. Type in "Terminal" and open the Terminal. (You will have to do this EVERY time you do lines)

8. type in the following: cd desktop/cphl
Press Enter
(The reason why I recommended putting it on the desktop is if you dont you will have to type exactly where these files are located ie: cd name/documents/sim/cphl/....)

9. then type in the following: mono SimonTHockeySimulator.exe
Press Enter

10. It will probably take a long time to load, just let it go and it will eventually open the sim and you can do your lines. It takes FOREVER for me to open it so many its just my mac but I still this this is a joke. *NOTE*******YOU MUST KEEP THE TERMINAL OPEN WHILE YOU DO LINES

First thing I notice is when I d/l Simon it has an old GM listed and his info and doesn't give me the option to change it?
?
I have to change it - which I've done now (for the Kings as well). It'll show you as the next GM when we upload the next roster file.

I've always saved my lines just to my desktop and it works - but this sim seems to behave differently depending on your specific OS. Trial and error I suggest.

some Simon 101 please?

It should hold the memory - basically always grab the new roster file that will be uploaded after games are simmed and then use that to make your lines. Not sure if I understood the question.

Rather than post screen shots and what not I think it's easier if people just ask questions and post how they resolve problems. The reality is that we are all pretty much learning this together.

I did, but only because I thought it was required.

Halak's now 80 Overall, nice little jump there.

Halak +11
Eminger +3
Sturm, Polak, Niskanen +2
Kariya, Tanguay, Fedotenko, Winchester, Thorburn, Stralman, Powe +1
Langkow, Stortini even

Those were the OV bumps for my team

Basically offensive minded players got a big bump, the defensive ones a small bump if at all.

Everything looks good in the new sim to me. I do have two guys on my AHL squad who are listed twice if that's a concern at all, but otherwise it looks good. I'm interested to see how things shape up in the games with all of the options there for us now!

Some of my CPHL guys are on my AHL roster and vice versa, is there anything I need to do to fix this or will it get rearranged at some point?

Each GM is responsible for that - so when you set your lines call up any guys that need to be called up to reflect what is on your GM page and send the other guys down.
