Did our draft last night. I was fairly happy with it considering I got the 11th pick (12 team PPR league).

QB: Drew Brees, Alex Smith
RB: Pierre Thomas, Jamaal Charles, CJ Spiller, Felix Jones, Fred Jackson
WR: Larry Fitzgerald, Mike Wallace, Derrick Mason, Jacoby Jones, Nate Burleson
TE: Jermichael Finley
K: Nate Kaeding
DEF/ST: Giants

I am set at QB with Brees....solid 22-25 points per week. I'm comfortable with Smith as a backup for Brees' bye week.

I was really happy when Jamaal Charles fell into my lap in the 4th round. Overall my running backs should be my team's strength. I could have 2 potential keepers in Charles and Spiller. Also, I got Felix Jones in the 9th round!

At WR I'm a bit concerned, but I may part with some of my RB depth to shore this up. Fitz should be good for 10 TD's at least, and I'm hoping Wallace busts out big. We only start 2 WR's in my league so I should be ok for now.

Finley was actually the 4th TE taken in my draft, but was number 1 on my list. I think he's gonna have a huge year in that GB offense.

Usually I don't like to ask advice in a public forum about my fantasy team. However due to work and family obligations I am getting dumber and dumber about the NFL every day. Despite having 24 access to news and commentary.

In my keeper league we must keep 4 players. So far I am keeping Phillip Rivers, Frank Gore and Owen Daniels. For my fourth keeper I am a bit stumped. I have the choices narrowed down to running backs Knowshon Moreno DEN or Kevin Smith DET, wide receivers Joshua Cribbs CLE (return yards count in my league and he gets a pile of them) or Mike Sims-Walker JAX or Michael Crabtree SF or Hakem Nicks NYG.

I have always tried to get two stud RB's for my team. With the keeper system that is much tougher to do. If you don't have two great RB's you need to either trade for one or draft one (usually a rookie since all the good RB's are kept). Or get lucky and pick up the Ray Rice's or Jamaal Charles of the world.

Now Moreno could be a great keeper, but I have read that he is hurt. Kevin Smith looks like he will be bumped for the rookie RB so that probably won't be a good move. For the receivers, Mike Sims-Walker was lights out when he was healthy. Michael Crabtree I drafted last season hoping he would turn into a stud that I could keep year in and year out. Will he live up to that potential? Hakem Nicks came up strong at the end of last season. In the Yahoo rankings Nicks is ranked just ahead of Sims-Walker and Crabtree ( they are all pretty close). Cribbs won't catch many balls, but he will churn up the return yards like a machine. He is 27 and guys like that only seem to last a couple of years, see Devon Hester and Daunte Hall. Also he was playing for a contract last year. Now that he has one will the hunger still be there?

For me the decision comes down to Nicks or Crabtree for longevity. Maybe Moreno would be a good option, but I hate to waste a keeper spot for him if he is going to be unhealthy this season.

Any opinions out there?

Other than the fact that he has a neck injury (well, had; he is reportedly playing in the next preseason game) there hasn't been much said about Crabtree. He came into the camp expected to be the #1 WR. There hasn't been any gushing about his play, but nothing negative, either. With Davis demanding more attention from defenses, a better O-line and Smith looking much more comfortable in his 2nd year under the same system, Crabtree should be a decent choice this year.

I can't comment too much on Nicks.

Did you have first pick? I really like Chris Johnson but there is tons and tons and tons of hype around him. I havent watched many titans game but he put up huge numbers last year. I just think teams are gonna stack the box against and just key on him. VY is good but he has shown to be horrible too. I think other teams will make VY beat them with his arm instead of letting CJ run all over them. Plus didnt CJ get a raise this season? All the making of a horrible year ... However he could be amazing again this year which I dont want to happen. I am in 4 or 5 leagues .. I couldnt snag him in one of them haha!

Oh and I hope Philly doenst have a string of bad games cause you will be hurting ... 5 Phi players? Youll also struggle in their bye week!

Yeah, I had first pick. I watched quite a few Titans games last year, and teams were stacking the box against them.

I agree with you about the Eagles players. I'm an Eagles fan, but most of those picks were value picks more than anything. I got Jackson in the third round, then 9, 10, 11 for Celek, Kolb, and the defense respectively.

Tennessee has one of the best O-Lines in football, and Chris Johnson just got a raise, not a new long term contract. I had first pick in my league, and I went with him. Go ahead, and stack 8 in the box against him, they can still get him to the outside with only 2 guys to try and cover him and he'll burn them big time with his speed.

I'm thinking that I'm pretty stacked at RB, but could use some WR help. May try to trade Charles for a big-time WR.

Out of all those players listed, I think Moreno is the best player of the bunch. And by best, I mean, he has the ability to be a stud RB for you even with his injury.

Cribbs is as you described him, last years Hester/Hall, so that's a real big hit or miss factor.

Nicks should be thrown out of your discussion all together, I don't think he will accomplish much.

Sims-Walker and Crabtree both deserve looks, but SW has to show he can do it consitantly and not be a one hit wonder. And Crabtree is a huge unknown in what should be a more successful offense this year.

Denver, in my eyes, will depend on the RB a lot this year....but that's just my own personal opinion.

^You make some good points there. Even though Moreno is hurt, he could be big later in the season or even over the next couple of years. I think I will go with him then try to draft some good recievers.

You see, a lot of what I've been reading suggests that Hakeem Nicks may be worth looking at. The Giants are evolving towards being more of a passing team with Eli at QB, and Nicks and Smith being one of the better receiving duos. That said I think a guy like Crabtree will be a stud number one receiver whereas Nicks would be a 1B type.

But I think your best bet would be to keep the running back. Chances are another Miles Austin type will emerge 4-5 weeks into the season at the receiver position and you can grab him off the scrap heap and keep him after the season.

I feel like i have a good 1-2 at QB and that i can use Ryan trade bait later on in the year. I feel i am little week at receiver and Kicker.
I think you definitely should be looking to trade one of your QB's for either help at WR, or try to find yourself a surefire stud running back to start with Gore. Felix Jones could be great, but it depends on how many carries the Cowboys will give him. Unless it's a PPR league I don't think Hightower is much more than depth as the Cards will likely lean on Beanie Wells. As for being weak at kicker, thats not hard to correct, as you can always grab a guy playing in a dome, or another type of favorable matchup on waivers.

Could be a really good team for you, especially if White and Matt Ryan both have big years. If DeAngelo Williams is healthy and the Panthers decide to lean on him, than you will have a really dominating running back duo.

Kickers are not that important. I always draft my kicker dead last. You can usually pick up a guy on any given week that is in the top half of the league.

I don't know if I like this team at all.

You have top shelf QB's...either one could bring in some WR help. Mathews + Charles are going to be beasts and Wells could surprise. Especially with no QB there and Hightower pushing him.

Your WR's are not good at all. Trade some QB + RB depth for help there.

Miller will also surprise as a TE. He's going to be the security blanket.

I had an autodraft league today and this has to be the worst fanstasy team ever.

Stephen Jackson
Randy Moss
Desean Jackson
Beanie Wells
Mike Sims-Walker
Brett Celek
Felix Jones
Jahvid Best
Thomas Jones
Lee Evans
Fred Jackson
Mike Williams
Larry Johnson
Jay Feely
Giants Special teams/defence
Jason Campbell.

This stupid autodraft drafted garbage like a kicker, defence, and Larry Johnson before it picked a QB? That team won't win a single game, I'm praying to get Derek Anderson on waivers on Tuesday...just awful.

I'm drafting for a second league in 90 minutes. Was trying to get by with just our CP league, but I felt like drafting another team. This league will be with random people I don't know.

2 leagues will get me by. I did 6 one year....that was nuts.
