Just looking at Basecamp, it seems like the right idea. Something to help our team communicate better, and keep all our files in one place, with email reminders included.

But, I don't want to pay monthly fees. Gah.

EDIT: I do like the mobile part of Basecamp.

Still like Outlook better. My team isn't very technologically advanced, but they already use Outlook a lot, which is why I want to expand it. But Basecamp has a lot to offer. Looks simple too.

Wake me up when Basecamp gets support for recurring tasks...I'm still amazed that they don't have this feature.

Actually you may want to look into MX Contact (not sure if it has mobile capability, it didn't when I used it). The software basically puts Outlook on steroids. Very easy to use and customize..

You may also want to google 'outlook crm' or 'outlook project management', as it seems MX-Contact aren't the only ones that have modified outlook. I'm seeing SalesOutlook and Zoho CRM and Teamscope for instance.

I liked how MX-contact worked but I'm unsure if they're still all that active.

Something I've heard lots about but haven't used: https://www.manymoon.com/

I've used Basecamp quite a bit and love it. But it only works when your entire team buys in - otherwise it just sits to the side getting no love while everyone just emails things.
