We've had monsoon quite a bit the past few days in the 90's but it's going to get back to being dry and around 110F everyday. Which compared to an 8 month winter, I enjoy quite a bit.

I don't love the heat down here but I can adapt to it. What really gets me is the intensity of the sun. I work out in it everyday and can deal with it but yesterday? Forget that. I went outside to do yardwork at 5pm and the sun was so intense it hurt. And that was through my clothes. Fortunately it wasn't as bad today. I know we have been breaking records tooo but I honestly ty not to pay attention to the temperature. Let's just say it's 85 or so when I leave for work at 6:45, and in the high 90s till past dinner. And the humidity sucks.

I just got back from Atlanta for the Braves game. Good time wasn't that warm in Atlanta. I got a seat for $9 high up under the roof in the shade.

are you using your number pad?

ALT + 2, 4, 8 = °

another way is

ALT + 0, 1, 7, 6 = °

It's fun playing with alt and the numpad to see what random unicode shapes and symbols you can make.

Totally with you on this one. DC has been brutal this summer. Too hot to do anything outside. Worst part is walking to and from work and ending up soaked both ways.

109F today, and another record falls in Wichita. 5th day in a row of 100 or higher. It's supposed to be a cool 102 tomorrow.

Not quite as hot as Wichita but in extreme SW Missouri it is nearing 6:30 and the backyard thermometer says 98 deg F in the shade.

Thank goodness the humidity dropped from a week or so ago...which for me was far more unpleasant.

I am. I bought a bunch of water and popsicles for my carriers today. The popsicles didn't freeze in time but they'll be good tomorrow.

ernie...humidity is way down here too, thankfully. Much easier to handle.
