May take a run out in the car to help look for the dog at the same time.
ZERO remorse for what they done. Acting like it is they who are being inconvenienced by nosey people. Said all of use were lying and she did feed and water them throughout the day.
It's saddening to see how little of a reaction she had to all of this. I'm guessing it's happened before
|
Even if they did come out and feed the doggies and give them water, it's not a great way to treat your animals. You still have them tethered to a truck for hours in the heat, not letting them get any exercise or pee or poop, while you are no doubt sunning your fat carcass and sipping margs. I hate these people.
Nice to see that people got involved though.

Culprits (Sorry about the blurriness... damn low light):
Looks like each of them own 2 of the dogs..
A few gems from hearing the conversation
- Of course I was feeding my dog, why else would I bring the dog food? I even brought treats!
- I can proove I was feeding them, I have the dog food right here in the truck! I even have water bottles in the cooler!
(I say at the point, why... if you were giving them water throughout the day, did they go nuts when they eventually did get some?).
- I'm supposed to go camping in crowsnest this weekend, now my plan is ruined.
(Camping? In crowsnest? So you were going to leave them in the parking lot overnight until you leave tomorrow?)
- I can't believe they lost my dog.
- They said they have the right to do this since the truck bed is technically the inside of a vehicle, but it's not hot, so why?
- (This one pisses me off). They had tons of room back there. Heck, they have even less room at home!
They are not from Calgary... just here visiting friends. They are pissed that Calgary has bylaws and can't believe them.
Normally someone would probably cancel their weekend plans after this, but I'm guessing they'll go camping anyways.
The brutal part after all of this, they had their 3 dogs returned to them.

dont be afraid to let Bylaw know that you witnessed the entire thing. People like this tend to fight their tickets and it would be important to let Bylaw have your information so that you could testify against the twits.
Good work by the way. I'm in the Bonavista area tonight and will keep my eye out.

Not to worry, at least 3 people have filled out statements. I asked if mine would help, but they said they had enough.
Thanks for keeping an eye out, looked like a great little dog.

Near the Acadia mall... OJ's, Holiday Inn. NW corner of Bonavista.

Probably the most pet friendly condo there is. I've seen Labs, great danes, shepherds living here. Either she was dumb or she knew they couldn't control the barking, so left them outside?

So what were some of the responses from the bylaw guys or the people that called the bylaw guys? Did you hear any of that?

Those remarks are from her speaking with her friends or other family member (I assume). She didn't say anything similar to this to the bylaw officers or others from what I heard.
I didn't hear much from the bylaw officers, they actually tried to hide the conversations.

It is. I didn't really want to include him in the photo... he's innocent in all this I imagine.

It's more sad that she's pissed about the bylaws in Calgary, rather than using common sense that she shouldn't do this to her dogs. There really shouldn't need to be a law / bylaw for things like this, but that's just how ignorant and selfish some people are I suppose.

I must be missing something, she mentioned that she'd left bottles of water for her dogs? Does she not realize that dogs don't have thumbs?
