Back in Calgary for a few days and got to enjoy its patented bizarre weather already! The birch tree in the back yard looked like it was going to snap, it was bent over so much that the top was nearly touching the ground. Had trouble seeing the fence of the yard from the window at the height of the storm. Storm drain backed up, I imagine that there must have been some sort of flash flooding in Fish Creek Park with all that volume in such a short time.
Nothing in the NW except for some rain, no wind or hail.

I drove home to water my parent's plants while they're on vacation. If I had known mother nature was gunna do it for me I would have saved the 2hrs of driving
Clouds and wind when I left. Hit a little rain driving north but nothing like what was described here.
Okay, So I went to work early since we have a Generator and now I can hang out with y'all

That was the fastest and hardest I have ever seen here in Calgary. I had some water come into the basement - I think it actually filled up the windowells and came in through there.
We just got hit with a huge lightning storm here in Lethbridge the past 45 minutes. At the peak, the flashes/strikes were about 3-4 seconds apart. Easily the best storm I've seen since I moved here 4 years ago.

I was just coming here to post this. It was incredible. I haven't seen a lightning storm this intense since I lived in Edmonton. I drove out to the fields, and watched one helluva good show! Pretty intense rains, with some good winds, but no hail here.
I can just imagine, a thousand eager fans lining up outside to buy Starcraft 2 at midnight being swept up by a tornado; their sweet, sweet tears, falling back to earth as fresh morning dew. Glorious.
A tornado couldn't lift half those guys off the ground...

I was watching Inception at the Shawnessy theatre when the storm hit. At first I thought it was the sound of the movie (it was raining at the time in the film), but later I realized it was the building being pummelled.
It's strange that Cranston got hail, yet Copperfield just got rain; they're only separated by a few kilometres.
I cannot describe to you what I just witnessed in Lethbridge. The most intense weather I've ever seen. INTENSE huge lightning bolts for about 45 minutes to the south and east. I had a great view from our huge picture window. Just sat in my mom's old rocking chair and took it all in. Torrential rain too, will probably beat our '08 Canada Day flood for damage. Hopefully someone has good video of this... if you see it you'll think it's looping but it was just flash flash flash flash every 2 seconds turning the entire sky blue for the better part of half an hour.
Watched the storm roll in to Lethbridge for about 45 minutes before it hit. It didn't hit the far north side too much. Rained hard, but not for long. No damage in our area that I can see.
I'm right at the southern edge of Lethbridge and got much the same; rain was only light to moderate throughout the first 30-35 minutes of intense lightning, then both rain and wind picked up for about 5-10 minutes to very intense, then slowed back down.
Here's a clip of the storm form Lethbridge. It's pretty crappy quality in my opinion but it's all I had available. I missed about 15 minutes of good stuff before I remembered I had my camera sitting about 15 feet from me. After the first 2 minutes it turns from lightning strikes to more of just bright flashes with no bolts.

Canyon Meadows here, unbelieveable storm! A giant tree branch landed right next to my car...I'm grateful it didn't put a huge dent in the roof. That was a ridiculous amount of rain.
