Einstein had no concept of fidelity, Ghandi's family hated him, Mother Theresa got off on torturing people.....who cares what Mel does in his free time.

I wouldn't really be surprised if there was something wrong with him. The way he raves and rants in the 8 minute long clip sounds crazy. Plus to threaten to kill someone, especially over the phone, would require you to be right out to lunch.

I still don't get the pictures. I can get the first part of the second picture. But the blow me comments are confusing. Oh well. Carry on.

The most epic comeback is still Robert Downey Jr.

Yeah, but RDJ's behavior was always self-destructive toward himself. He was never viewed as being a hateful, malevolent, bigotted, or prejudiced person who harmed others...just someone pissing their life away on a drug habit. People still liked him. It helps that all the roles he is taking on are ones that seem like people destroying themselves as well.

Mel has created this image of himself as a wholesome, conservative leader of a fundamental Christian movement and everything he does just points out how hypocritical and fundamentally flawed his character is.

IMO, he won't rebound after this one. Even his agency has dumped him. Homicidal threats are pretty much the deal sealer here. Plus he has been on egg shells since his last anti-semetic rant. Too bad, the guy was a great actor, but that 8 minute clip should be renamed "Career suicide".

Considering this is the second episode with Mel. It might be a career ender.

Definitely not a career ender. This guy is a legend. Michael Jackson molests little boys? Did that end his career...hmmm NOPE.

Mel will be back and bigger then ever in a few years.

I've said some pretty stupid crap when I've been piss drunk, as have many of my friends. But the racism, that's something else. For Mel it seems to be a fundamental thing for him, like others have said his career is probably over.

But there was never direct evidence that MJ molested anyone (even though personally I think he did). He was never caught "in the act". However Mel Gibson has been recorded making a death threat (and going as far to tell her how he will dispose of her body) to a woman, and admitting he beat her, in his own words. There is no denying any of this now. He's on record saying it. Even though he is financially set for life, I think his career is now OJ'd.

I don't think Jackson's career was every on track after the 2nd molestation charges. Not that his career was really doing much previously anyway. His "eccentric" lifestyle, excessive plastic surgery and all that put a big damper on his public image.

He relied heavily on his past accomplishments (thanks in large part to Quincy Jones).

So much anger. So sad.

I'm glad that I have been able to leave anger like that out of my life. It hurts so many people.

It makes you wonder wtf is going on in Hollywood. I'm aware that real people go crazy as well, but how many normal folks do you know that have gone Mel Gibson, Britney Spears, Martin Lawrence (a bunch of times) type crazy?

Probably a lot.

The thing about the internet is it just makes everything more accessible. There isn't more crazy things happening in the world, but there is just a more instant deployment of the information that something crazy happened.

It's too bad he is nuts because I do like a lot of his movies.

Keep in mind, this isn't new stuff for him at all. Back when he was filming the the 3rd Mad Max movie, Tina Turner (who knows all about alcohol abuse and anger issues) allegedly had somewhat of an intervention and tried help him get his life on track. It seemed to work for a while, but even back then, people knew he was a loose cannon.
