This just goes to show you've done zilch research on the subject. If you're serious about marketing something, hire a marketing firm.

I usually have a few things that I keep in mind when dealing with client expectations:

- Know your demographic
- Know what you want to say, too many messages makes it cluttered an ugly (the old "hang you hat on this idea")
- Find your benefit of the product and create advertising around that. This is NOT an attribute, the benefit of the product is different.
- Lastly as Troutman said location, knowing where your audience will get the most out of your advertising is key. The internet is great but nothing is "viral" until its viral. You cant have the expectation that your Ad or video will simply become viral because you want it to.

Lastly if you have the funds for a media buyer that would help a ton.

Hope this helps.

I've worked in a related field. There is no best way to advertise. It depends on lots of things, including the product, audience, budget, in-house skills, etc. I know a fellow in Calgary who does this if you're interested, but it's likely to be expensive. My advice if free.

I've always been partial to having some guy dress up in a silly costume and stand on the street corner waving his arms, wiggling his ass, or dancing up a storm.... in order to attract business to a particular establishment.

You find a handsome older gentleman to play the manifestation of the perfect, over-the-top -- but fictional -- international playboy, then imply that he loves your product.

Stay thirsty, my friends.

Edit: Hey! The H on Harvey's belt buckle is the same H that was on Hercules' belt buckle in the 80's cartoon!

That was actually a pretty good commercial. Was inclined to at least try the beer.

Hire a streaker to run on the field at the World Cup Final with your URL on his back.
