I just find it really weird that gay slurs were used so openly when I went to school and it seemed most people were against gays, but then I join CP and it seems that everyone approves of gay marriage or the people against it just don't like discussing the subject.
Well there's a difference between gay slurs and one's opinion on gays. I use gay slurs all the time, whether it's in school, at work, at hockey etc, but that doesn't mean I'm against gays, or that I don't support gay marriage. It just means that I'm not politically correct in the slightest in my personal life.

Not saying it's your fault or anything, because your comment is probably true, but no one wants to be called a bigot.
Yeah, maybe if people are ashamed of their opinions, they should maybe give some thought as to why they're ashamed of them, and mabye think about changing them.

i've made my views on this quite well known. it should be legal and i'm thankful our previous government were more enlightened than the majority of our southern neighbors. and anyone who votes no to this poll is a bigot, whether they will admit it or not, as it's discrimination at it's purest form

Kids are stupid, people grow up and times change. I used to use 'gay' as in insult up until I moved into residence for university and the inclusive language policy made me think about who I might be hurting. Now I regret that I didn't stop sooner. Now I'm at the opposite end of the spectrum and it really bugs me when people use 'gay' in a derogatory manner.
