The bird was attacking the golfers walking with their pull carts as they walked from the tee box to the green.

Maybe that's why we weren't attacked, as we had a power cart... and I think we avoided the right side of the fairway/green.
The Par 3 is the 7th.

Good thing you didn't kill him or things could have gotten very awkward in the clubhouse the next day

So, unlike you lazy pricks, I was framing the roof on my addition yesterday. Around 8pm my GF called to chat. I had my hands linked together on top of my head, stretching as we talked, handsfree-style.
Out of the corner of my eye, I spied a pair of blackbirds that swooped down and SHAT on my head. Little did they realize, my hands formed a protective hat, so no shizen in my hair!

Yes. I did take a picture of the matter before washing my hands. My GF loves birds, and would get a kick out of my interaction with them, so I sent her the picture pronto.

Just a Red Wing with a nest nearby.....they are very territorial! I go running daily out near Spruce Meadows on some of the back roads and they are everywhere out there. Every June there is a period of time of 2-3 weeks when they are nesting where you have to watch for them. I used to run with a handful of rocks when I would approach them but now I just let it slide....they will dive right past my head without ever making contact. A bird with small man syndrome if I have ever seen one....they hang with the Yellow headed black birds but they are never that aggressive. The Red Wings play offense....no need to defend...never been crapped on either....

So they go on offense like the flames did last year, endless cycling in the corner with no shots?

Australianized-blackbirds.
