Hope he pulls through, MMF....Can't imagine what I'd do without my little guy.

Hey guys, thanks for the concern. Just an update for those wondering, Gizmo is doing pretty darn well!

He is moving around pretty good but I had to purchase one of those baby stair divider things so he can't go up and down the stairs. His right legs are moving alot better then they were Sunday and Monday and improving each day it seems. I have to give him 2 pills each day for the next week (can't remember what they are called). I've also had to hide all of his toys, which include me not leaving my socks on my bedroom floor. The Vet said to keep him calm for the next month or so just so he doesn't get to worked up and get the blood going. He wasn't able to jump up on my bed or on any couch when it first happened but he is doing that very well now, although I pick him up when I can. The Vet doesn't want him doing anything stressful so I pick him up, put him on a bed, or bring him up or down the stairs with me whenever possible.

The Vetrinarian was great though, she has a dog just like him and made me wait the other day to talk about him longer so she gave me 15% off my vet bills, pretty sweet. It was cheaper then I expected, just under a couple hunderd so far for some x-rays, blood tests and the pills. I have to go back this coming Wednesday just for a check up so they can evaluate his progress. It's looking good though guys!

Thanks man. By the way, great story about your German Sheppard. Its cool to think that your dog was in some way boosted by the younger pup that was brought into his life.

Anyone else got any stories about their pooch? I'd love to hear them.

Good to hear the little mutt is doing much better MMF.

Its always amazing to me how resilient animals can be, and this type of situation can have happy endings more often than not.

Hope Gizmo is driving you crazy for many more years to come.

Well I gotta say that I stumbled upon one reknown poster's web site dedicated to golden retrievers yesterday, and was really impressed. I went home and showed it to my kids who absolutely loved it. There are some amazing pictures there... I wish I had a knack for photography like that... very well done.

Glad to hear he's on the mend.

Glad you liked it, assuming you are talking about what I think you're talking about. It was set up for my god kids . . . .
