Anyone else wondering why that cop is struggling so hard to restrain that woman?
Pretty embarrassing if you ask me.

When a police officer gives you an order your expected to obey it no matter how stupid YOU feel the situation is you do not talk back and than shove the officer. People seem to forget she did and learned a valuable lesson.

A friend of mine became a cop a few years ago and I attempted to "resist arrest" just to see how long I would last. I may have lasted about 3-5 seconds before I thought my arm was going to break, so I have to think the officer was just restraining himself.
I'm so impressed he didn't escalate the situation. That could have gotten much worse, but he seemed to handle it very well. I probably would have dropped an elbow and caused a riot.
"Oh look, that officer is trying to arrest my freind. I think I'll jump in there and push him.....yeah that'll make him back off and he'll just let us go on our merry way"

I don't like to nitpick, but where was his backup? That's a scary situation with everyone crowding around like that.

Exactly my thinking.
I was on a ride along last weekend with a cop in Calgary and at one point a call came out over the radio from another officer that he was at a domestic dispute in a yard where a bunch of people kept showing up and crowding around. Once we heard that we were booking it, lights and sirens, to his location. Seems like something they take seriously.

The clip is just under 3 minutes. Even driving lights and sirens is going to take time.
