Ah screw it, want to play it now so full price it is.

Of course now I have to wait for it to download. Superfast Internet doesn't help when Steam's servers will only give me 1.6MB/s!

Well since you've paid for it, you could go sailing on the high seas and find a faster downloading copy. Morally you're in the clear in that kind of situation. I've had to use 3rd party cracks to deal with Steam sometimes when I've bought their old legacy games and found that the Steam versions are bugged to hell and I need fan made bug fixes that will only work with retail copies.

Your statement would have been correct if it was written in green. *wink*

http://www.amazon.com/Deus-Ex-Revolu...4382453&sr=1-1

$35 USD via Amazon Digital Download. I tried to check out and it let me so it should work for Canada. Usually when I press check-out for an item from Amazon.com that won't work for Canada it won't let me get to that part of the process.

EDIT***

BOO! For US customers only!

Does it demand high PC specs to play well? I'm still using my trusty GeForce 8800GT.

Doesn't seem to, I've got a 460GTX and it runs smooth at 1920x1200 with stuff bumped up; feels more like a Valve engine that doesn't need huge resources to run.

8800GT meets the minimum specs anyway.

The humour notwithstanding, what's your impression after more time with the game?

Well after spending untold hours getting through the first few missions without harming a soul, I find out that if you kill the guys in the INTRO, you CANNOT GET the achievement for beating the game without killing anyone

Other than that, love the game. Honestly this game has hooked me in harder than any others have in the last while.

Keeps getting better and better, the story is pulling me in more and it's got the classic depth, you can read every email, search the drawers for every scrap of info, and it all means something.

Voice acting is great (love the interaction between Jensen and company "IT" guy Pritchard, funny and dry).

There always seems to be 2-3 ways to do everything, sometimes you'll hack something but find info with the passcode on it somewhere else, or vice versa, there's always multiple ways to get around.

Though I do find the visibility cloak somewhat overpowering, and I hit a point in the game where I needed (well not needed, but would have had to backtrack) one augmentation to progress and was super close to having enough XP to get it but not enough and that was annoying.

Biggest frustration with the game is the limited inventory. If you clear out an area you can "gun run", which is pick up one gun, run it back to the vendor, sell it, go back, pick up another, go back and sell it, 20 times for all the guns. If you pick up a gun you already have you just get an ammo pack for it (which is worth very little). That's HIGHLY annoying so they should just accept that it's not realistic and allow guns to stack.

But overall very fun, been quite a while that there's been a game that makes me go "Oh crap, it's past midnight!"

I want this game, but I want to play the first one (or two? ) first. What's a good level to play the original DE at? I'm not sure if I need to set it lower or if I'm just not "getting it"?
