I think he can get some less Sympathy...
Guys gets randomly picked out and tortured for no reason = Sympathy
Guy smokes thousands of dollars in drugs and fails to pay his dealer and tortured = Less Sympathy
Edit: All speculation. Most sympathy goes to his young daughter. Regardless of why it happened

Had an idea!

I don't think it really matters what he did(outside of rape, murder or molesting little kids)....people don't deserve to get tortured.
Unlike some of y'all that are obviously evil at heart, I don't support torture.
Carry on.

You've seen some hard-ass s*** if you find it hard to feel sorry for a torture victim.

I don't condone torture in any way, shape, or form, but you get on the wrong side of the Hells Angels and life isn't going to be sunshine and kittens for you.

Good God (Good Math, for those that swing the other way), do you really need to bring this up here? Seriously? You're an expert at beating dead horses.

Look, its not that I dont feel bad for the guy. But its like feeling sorry for gang members who gets shot. You start getting involved with people like that and things go awry you're going to get burned.

Christian perspective: God always gives us a choice to do what's right or do whats wrong (ie steal/torture etc.) and he allows us to choose because it shows him who his true followers are, and it shows God believes in us in humans to choose the right thing when given a choice, and many other reasons. If you're going to bash a religion at least know what you're talking about.

What choice did the victim make to show "god" he was true follower?

And yet another thread disintegrates into an argument over religion. We've got a few posters here who really need to give the whole anti-religion thing a rest; or at least try and discuss their views in more appropriate places.

The irony being they think religious people are fanatical about their beliefs.

I guess to some the reason why people are tortured matter, and some think that its a bad thing no matter what.
The reasons matter - the video paints him as some sort of helpless victim who deserves some ordained sainthood.

You know, the irony of your viewpoint is that there actually IS a school of thought that says the reasons for torture matter. But in general, they construct a hypothetical "ticking time-bomb" scenario to justify torture, not one where "the Hell's Angels kind of didn't like you."
Sorry, but this time relativism has no place. The reasons don't matter. Torture isn't somehow "slightly more okay" if the victim wasn't a saint. If it were, we'd live in a terrifying moral universe.

Getting shot and being tortured are two different things though. I know if I was being tortured, I'd beg to be shot.
I feel no sympathy for gang bangers getting shot because chances are they have shot someone in their life.
