Don't go to the Duke, Backstreet has better food and better staff. Its just around the corner from the Duke.

Just don't drink too much, get beat up by 5 guys, get charged with fighting in the streets, and then wake up the next day in the drunk tank, and call your older brother to drive down there to pick up your sorry ass cause your ride gave up on ya.

There is a multi-family garage sale at my mother-in-laws house on Friday night and Saturday. You can come and buy all of my junk, but don't buy anything that my sister-in-law wants to sell.
The casino is okay. You can go meet my grandpa there... at least I run into him every time I go there... quit wasting my inheritance grandpa!
Whoever said that Lethbridge doesn't have anywhere good to eat either has picky tastes or is being really sarcastic. I'm not sure which. Lethbridge has way too many restaurants. Go eat at The Shark Club. The waitresses attire doesn't require you to have an imagination.
Bring your hockey gear and come play shinny on Saturday night. $10 and all you need is helmet, skates, gloves and a stick (some guys wear full gear, some don't).

both bad choices unless you have no money, like ty food, aren't afraid of small dark places and want to become depressed.
Where are you staying? Average Joes is pretty decent and just changed locations into a newly renovated bar...kind of lacking as they haven't moved all their stuff over but sill decent. If you are looking for eye candy while you drown your lonely sorrows head to the Shark Club on Mayor Magrath. Looking to go cubbing at night the wrinkler ranch (soundgarden) is fun to people watch because there are some real beauties in that place and i'm not talking about hot women. Boss Hogs is just across the street from Soundgarden and just around the corner from the Ballet known as the Top Hat. Personally I like Scores you would probably enjoy South more than North. The casino is decent and if you play poker i'll save you the drive and tell you the poker games they have goin is a 5,10 limit with a kill and sometimes a 1-2 PL dealers choice.
If you want some activity Evergreen golf center has a driving range, Par 3 golf course and go karts.
I haven't been here long so I really don't know anything to do around the city sorry

The drunk tank in Lethbridge is awesome. I became friends with many aboriginal gentlemen during my stay. Your not a man until you watch some other guy take a dump in front of 20 other people because he has no other choice.

The Water Tower restaurant is supposed to be quite impressive. I haven't been, but have heard from more than a couple different people that it's really a neat place with great food and service.

I go to the university.
There's nothing to do in Lethbridge except hang out with people you know.
It's basically a town for students, profs, and seniors. It's nice enough for what it is but I would never, ever live or work there except at the university.

When I was in Lethbridge I drank at the Duke and Backstreet.
Duke was pretty divey, but they had cheap beer. Backstreet had a fight outside. Someone asked me what I saw when I went to the window and my answer was "a huge native"
I then went to The Pantry and saw a 7 foot tall cowboy. It was ****ing EPIC!

Haven't been there in years but I went to college & university there in the 90's not sure if Essie's is still happening or not but that place was kick ass! Not sure how much time you have but a round of gold at Henderson Lake is always good depending on the weather.

Treats has the best effing ceaser salad on the planet. And to my knowledge, the only bar in Lethbridge I've been to that freezes their mugs. Great place to watch the hockey game.

You must have never left the West Side. Since you didn't include Hutterites in your description of what the town consisted of.

The water tower (Ric's grill, aka the flying hamburger) is overpriced and the service is spotty. If you've never been before then it might be worth the novelty of eating in the tallest restaurant (and probably one of the top 10 highest places period) in Lethbridge. I'd go to the Shark Club instead. Better food, better scenery.

Lethbridge is the kind of place where you have to make your own fun, and most of it involves guns and/or illicit activity.
- Find someone with an extra .22 (shouldn't be too hard, this is southern Alberta) and go gopher shooting.
- Got a mountain bike? The coulees are full of trails and the riding is pretty damn good if you know where to go. Check with Lonnie and the guys at Ascent Cycle and someone will be willing to show you around.
- Catch some live music at The Slice downtown.
- Catch herpes at Studio 54.
- Get in a fight with some drunk cowboys at Ezzies.
- Get in a fight with some drunk natives in Galt Gardens.
- Break into Japanese Gardens and ring the gong at 2 am. That thing can be heard up to 5 miles away.
- Bridge jumping FTW. Not the big one in Lethbridge, but there's a perfect one out by Barons and lots of smaller ones closer to the city.
