I agree I don't go for the food, just the coffee.
The old Mcdonalds coffee did blow.
Their coffee is what is driving their business now though.

Not the one...

Protip: Tim Horton's discount is applied automatically if there is a drink/sandwich/side, so if you order a coffee and a sandwich then adding a teabiscuit will drop the total price.

TH donuts are crap. They arrive at the store as frozen pucks and are baked by a 'chef' who is also the dishwasher. Krisy Creme are much better. Or the local bakery.
PS. I love the plain. After everyone at the office gets there fill that is the one left over and 2 donuts always taste better then one. Never dunked one though. I hate coffee.

Anyone remember when they had the worst coffee? It was a few years ago when they switched, and it took a lot of convincing to get me to try it.
I try not to complicate anything I order at Starbuck's. Often they'll miss something if you make your drink too confusing. I just stick to nonfat (no whip if required) ... or soy if it's a chai latte.

I sure remember when McDonald's coffee was terrible. It really was. Up until some time in the 90's though, most fast food places all had it. I also remember when Mac's and Sev had absolutely brutal Java. It didnt help that most of those placesdidn't mind letting it sit on the burner for hours at a time.
Like Tim's or not, I think they were the ones that pressured most other places to at least dump a pot after it's sat for a while, or use carraffes sp? which seemed to improve overall takeout coffee.

That's why Krispy Kreme in Calgary lasted so darn long. Packed for a couple of months - until everyone had one, then pretty much completely abandoned. Now it's a Tim Hortons!

Krispy Kreme donuts are over glazed, over sugared crap. There is a reason they failed in Canada. They sucked in comparison to Tim's, and still do.
Old fashioned glazed or sour cream glazed Tim's For the WIN.

Didn't know that. Funny how we are all conditioned. I've only had them a couple times but sure liked them.
Seriously though, Tim hortons donuts are as close to prepackaged snacks as you can get. they should come in a wrapper just like a Twinkie or a Jos louis. Fresh baked bakery donuts crush them.

Agreed. Tim Horton's donuts are absolute bottom of the barrel crap. Even as far as packaged donuts go, they're not very good. You can walk into almost any grocery store or bakery and get donuts that are miles better than anything Tim Horton's sells these days.
Their donuts used to be made in house and weren't bad at all but now they're made in a factory and shipped in. They can't even bake muffins from premade batter anyone, as those are sent in to each store almost fully cooked and are just heated up a bit before they're put on the shelf. The whole company has become extremely lazy in it's food production and it really shows in their product. I didn't mind their stuff back in the day, but it just tastes like plasticky crap nowadays.
