I'd chip in $500 if there was a raffle.

I think I saw it parked downtown this morning. Definitely a sweet ride, but I don't think the car seat will fit.

I'd definetely be in for a raffle. In no way do I have the finances to purchases a vehicle of this caliber, so winning it would be the only way at this time that I would be able to own such a gem. With a raffle and a 1/800 chance for $100, that'll beat any draw they have at malls and events like the Stampede, simply because no money is going to a charity, not that theres anything wrong with that, but now the odds are even. No house edge. I suppose that's why it's illegal, and from what I've read in some of the threads here with regarding breaking any laws, I don't see this flying. People here can come off as anal retentive, linear thinking pragmatists. No offence to anyone.

Hell yes. I am all for a GT-R raffle. I don't think it would be allowed here but I'll wait for the mods to chime in. I had no idea this beast of a car was that pricy. To the OP...I hope you can find a way to hang on to your ride.

More than anything I was trying to be funny. As pointed out it likely isn't legal without a lottery license. Contrary to what some people might say; it isn't about being anal retentive- it's about it being illegal. And with 800 tickets; so let's say at least 200 people entering the draw; all it takes is one person to complain. Never mind the fact that this is a forum available for public viewing- and that the Alberta Gaming people could be reading this thread right now watching to see what we do.

If somebody knows a way we can do this completely above board- I'd like to hear it. And as mentioned before; the other raffles have been for items worth a few hundred dollars; not 10's of thousands. It' like comparing your local pub doing Superbowl squares and a full book making organization.

This is the internet...half the people who claim they'd buy tickets would hedge on it at the last minute. All talk, no action.

Very nice machine though, would be something if it was another CP'er who ended up buying it.

Do a private showing of a movie at Cinplex and charge $100-200 admission... door prize of a Nissan GT-R!

as much as I would like to have a CP raffle, the logistics are just to much, and as someone mentioned before, when it comes time to 'pay the piper', the interest may not be there....ala the Big Buck Game raffle....

It is? That's awesome . . . I was just jokin' around, but that would be a sweet-ass car to purchase. Wish I actually could!

Sick ride, lucky1. Sick ride.

If you don't mind me asking, what line of work takes you out of the country that much per year? I ask, simply because I am jealous. I travel for work, but not nearly to that level. Work travel is like drugs to me, I want more and more all the time.
