Just tracking it a little. Hewitt is comfortably ahead. He bageled the other guy in the 2nd set.

Nice!

Wozniack beat (32) Bondarenko! 6-4, 6-1

She gets Dementieva next.

Booo....Roddick down in three sets. Must be super disappointing for him.

Serena had some trouble in her match too.

Wozniak was eliminated yesterday by Dementieva.

A great fight from Wozniak despite the lost to Dementieva. She has a bright future ahead of her and I really like her attitude.

Looks like Roger just needs to get through Soderling to bring him a good shot at the Finals and Nadal has Verdasco to almost guarantee him a shot at the finals. Looks like things are going according to plan on all accounts. Hopefully we are treated to another classic!

Good rematch of last year's final with Federer and Soderling in the quarters.

Looking forward to hopefully another Federer/Nadal final, with Federer winning on his way to the Grand Slam!

Or a 2008 beatdown

I think it'll be closer, but Nadal is still going to win. On clay he is just unstoppable.

Soderling-Nadal would've been great, but Soderlign has drawn into Federer's half/quarter 4 grand slams in a row.

More drama as play is suspended due to rain at 5-5 in the 3rd.

*SPOILER ALERT*

Play resumed and Roger didn't play too well, or else Robin played lights out. Lucky number 13 for Soderling. Took out the world number one 6-3, 3-6, 7-5, 6-4.

I guess Soderling learned a lot from last years finale or else Roger has been worse this season because his confidence may have been low because of the loss to Nadal at the Madrid Masters or his mindset was looking forward (Nadal) and not the task at hand. i.e. Soderling.

My prediction is a Nadal V Soderling Final with Nadal being a dominant force taking the match

23 straight grand slam semi-finals comes to an end for Federer. I don't think that record will ever be broken.

I hope that it is a Soderling-Nadal final now. Anyone to win but Dorkovic.

There was no way Federer was ignoring Soderling and looking ahead. Soderling is a beast on clay and one of the contenders of the tournament. It was a close match and the key points went Soderling's way (as it does for the winner in most tennis matches).

Last year's final was close too, Soderling had chanced to turn in around in the 2nd and 3rd sets but that time Federer won the big points.

The loss also means that Federer's attempt to break Sampras record for weeks at #1 is no longer a sure thing.

If Nadal wins the FO (likely), then Federer will drop to #2 before breaking the record, with a lot of points to defend at Wimbledon as well. If Nadal loses, then Fed will be guaranteed the # of weeks at #1 record as well.

Serena is out losing to Stosur.
The final four on the women's side are:
Jankovic, Dementieva, Stosur and Schiavone

That's as wide open as it gets.

-----

Nadal is in a battle today against fellow Spaniard Almagro.

Nadal won the first set in a tiebreak and the 2nd set is headed for a tiebreak too. If Almagro can somehow pip this set, we're in for a classic.

Nadal takes the 2nd set tiebreak. That's curtains.
