Just a note here. You have redundant drives. You
DO NOT have data redundancy. If the filesystem on your RAID1 array becomes irreparably corrupted, or if the array controller loses its mind and damages the mirror, you will still lose data.
What you need to do now, is get one more drive, and use that as your offline copy of the data kept online in the RAID1 array. You could back up the contents of the RAID1 array to this third disk once a week, once a month, or whatever. You could also get something like Mozy and start your online backup now - it’ll take several months to get all the data up into Mozy, but it will get there eventually.
Unless, of course, your data isn’t worth an additional $150 or so...which is fine, as long as you know the risks with that RAID-1 array.
