Probably pretty damn hard. The first sign of trouble and they can unload the 1MB of crude into the ocean.

So a few gallons dump into the ocean near the horn of africa, they would only be hurting themselves and thats assuming they would know how to operate the ship properly. And even if a few barrels fall in, so what, its just desert and sharks around those waters.

Bring in some gunships to do strafing runs along the deck and to provide cover while a group boards the ship and takes control preferably killing them all.

Paying them only encourages them.

or start putting holes in the crews heads. can't dump the oil because then you'd have all sorts of ships poking around your pirate waters cleaning it up. which will probably put a naval destroyer in the waters too to protect them. that's p1ssing in your own pool if you ask me.

Too much collateral damage with strafing runs. it's be like Team America. storming it is too dangerous too as you'd not know where the hostages are being held and where the pirates exactly are below deck. I think that one team lucked out with that ship captain on the life boat. the SEAL snipers were able to see where the captain was and the few pirates holding. even in that case, i bet they were close enough that the captain was picking pirate brains out of his hair.

Story is that the Russians put the pirates back in their boat with no guns and no navigational equipment 200 nautical miles off shore. They are all likely dead.

They're pirates and all but that's pretty harsh.

Well, unless you head out precisely toward the Indian Ocean, you'll hit land if you just head straight west or north. If you can't figure out enough to head toward the sunset, Darwin wins... Frankly, I would just summarily execute them on the spot, just like in the 18th century.

So, they put the pirates on the boat and then blew said boat out of the water? Nice.

I'm pretty sure the English was with a Russian accent. I doubt the Somalians are going to speak Russian, they may speak a little English, so may as well ask them in English.

They were claiming to be a fishing boat, but the Ruskies found a couple of long ladders with hooked ends and a bunch of AKs.

At the 4:30 mark, it looks like some fireworks start to go off in the distance (dark out) and then the big finale. (laughing in the audio)

Must have gave them a going away present.

There is something wrong with this post every few words. So I'm not even going to try.
