Having not seen Iron Man 2 yet, and knowing Thor is coming out next year, I will guess yes.

Isn't there a shield in the movie somewhere?

Such an awesome movie.

Both Thor and Captain America are out next summer. Can't wait.

Very entertaining movie. Had a great time. I thought they might have done a little more with the final fight, but it was still pretty cool.

Tony Stark was definitely not as likeable as he was in the first one, but I think he redeemed himself by the end. Scarlett....very hot. Gwyneth in my opinion had the best performance. Thought she was great and held the movie together IMO.

Jon Favreau had some great screen time as well.

Stayed for the secret scene. VERY COOL!!!

Before I saw Iron Man, I always thought Gwyneth was meh...then I saw Iron Man.

I liked the direction they took with Tony Stark in this movie. ****SPOILERS IN WHITE**** You could see the weight of the responsibility and his failing health weighing down on him and him cracking under the pressure... then his big resurgence at the end. Awesome.

Great movie! Lots of fun and I would recommend to anyone.

Hopefully I'll have a chance to go see it on Tuesday. I heard Tuesday movies are half price? Is that true?

It is indeed true... at least at Cineplex anyway.

You remind me of my one buddy, and I'm going to caveat this and say this isn't a bad thing and in fact is a good thing because it means you enjoy movies but...

I've never seen a review that you've given where you didn't like a movie. Unless I'm missing one you've given on here... just seems like you like everything that comes out. Kind of amusing to me for some reason.

I'll concede that I may be a little more positive than most people here, but I tend to post more about movies and shows that I like and not what I don't like. Believe, there's plenty of movies that I don't like. but I'll admit, I'm a sucker for a big budger summer flick, so it's hard to disappoint me and I've never been a big comic book guy, but I sure as hell like the movies and don't get the sense of "they ruined it for me" that plenty of people do. Hence my like for Transfomers 2 and other movies that people hated.

But believe me, I have hated a boat load of movies recently, I just don't like being the guy to write a long post on how much a movie sucked.

It was entertaining enough. I'd give it about a 7/10. A little bit under the first one but in the same ball park for sure.

I didn't like it at all. i thought it sucked big time. I loved the first film and eagerly anticipated this one but it was beyond flat. The first third opened well and kept my interest but then it dragged itself into oblivion for an hour of slow plot development.
The final showdown battle picked it up again but for me the damage was done and I didn't really care what happened in the last act as the film had lost me by then.

The script was diabolically bad. The scenes whewre Pepper ignores Tony in her office as she is just too busy was painful to watch. This is the guy who made her CEO and is still the largest shareholder in the company and she has no time for him? Yeah right like that happens in real life right enough? And what was Samuel L Jackson doing in this movie? That whole plot development was just confusing and dumb. Like Tony needed Samuel L to come along and "force" him to save his own life? Lame indeed.

I gotta give this one a thumbs down much as it pains me to say it. And I LOVED the first film. Was this made by a different director?

Nick Fury didn't force Stark to do anything. He enabled him to make that break through.

No Jon Favreau directed it like the first.

I haven't seen it yet, but from what I have heard it seems the movie just had too many plots and sub-plots, too many characters, etc.

This is probably NOT Favreau's fault. Probably due more to the Big Wig's in Hollywood as they want to push The Avengers, HARD.

I usually set up shop in the upper balcony towards the end of a movie and anyone that tries to get up and leave gets picked off quickly with my AWP.

Nothing more annoying than trying to watch a teaser trailer while all these inconsiderate movie goers are shuffling around the theater.

I thought it was a pretty good popcorn flick. I've never been into comic books or most super hero movies, but Iron Man is pretty awesome.

I liked it more than the first movie. The narrative was more streamlined and cohesive, characterization was on par, and dialogue sharper. I think it got annoying toward the end, but still ended up being worthwhile.
