From my experiences playing around with a research grade breathalyzer 0.08 is pretty drunk. 3 pints in an hour and I'm still legal to drive according to the letter of the law, which I think is a little ridiculous. Bring on the 0.05.
I've used the ones they used to have in bars. While I admit they are not accurate, it took substantially more than 3 drinks for me to blow over .08. At that point I felt pretty loaded.
Okay someone answer me this. Why do clubs and bars often have large parking lots?
Just because they provide parking does not mean you have to drive it home. Leave the car in that big parking lot over night.

What they are really telling us is that we should just smoke more pot.

I see another CP "You're wasted after the first drop" alcohol debate.
Gotta love the people who are convinced that one beer plus driving home from the pub equals dead women and children.

You could do that. But then you would have to get a ride the next day to pick up your car. Or walk there. But I guess driving there is just too damn irresistible? And then there's the possibility of something bad happening to you car in the lot, I mean a bunch of drunks around is not going to help.
Let's be honest, when you drive somewhere you have the full expectation of driving home, 9 times out of 10.

Yeah it's starting to turn into a witch hunt.....
I think this is getting ridiculous.

Who cares about them? It's the people they run over who matter.
If someone runs a person over because of 2 glasses of wine, then they should not only not be allowed to drink and drive, they should also not be allowed to drink, period.

Also, they shouldn't have been allowed to drive, period.
