In all fairness to China, the country does have about 20% of the world's population. It's fair to expect that it would have a good bit more craziness happening in it than other places.

And now ANOTHER one...wtf is going on over there?
Quote:
A man with a kitchen cleaver hacked to death a teacher and seven kindergarten students -- five boys and two girls. He then returned home and committed suicide, state media said.
The teacher's mother, who was wounded in the attack, later died at a hospital -- bringing the toll to nine, the Xinhua news agency said.

March 23: A man stabs eight students to death and wounds five others at an elementary school in Fujian province. The attacker, a former community doctor, was executed.
April 28: A male teacher barged into a primary school in southern Guangdong province, wounding 16 pupils and a teacher.
April 29: An unemployed man stormed into a kindergarten in Taixing city in Jiangsu province with a knife. At least 28 children were injured, most of them four year olds.
April 30: A farmer entered a village school in Shandong province and attacked preschool students with a hammer, causing head injuries. He then set himself on fire and died.
May 12: Seven children were killed, and at least 20 others wounded after an attack at a kindergarten in Shaanxi province
Just bizzare.

Why is it the kids and schools are always targetted?
If you have a problem with the parents or teachers wouldnt you hack them up?
Or is it thought to be more cruel and "revenge" style to take it out on five year olds??? Geez.....

Children, boys specifically, are the most prized possesion a chinese family can have. The act has larger significance because of this. That and they are nuts!!

Crazy...I saw the thread and thought people were continuing to talk about the incident a couple weeks ago. Then I went to CNN.com and saw this new one. What the hell is going on?

I think these deranged individuals want to "go out" with as much of a bang as possible, and what's more shocking than hacking up innocent children?

And yet one more incident....

About five to six men, armed with knives and cleavers, rushed into a college dormitory in southern China on Wednesday, wounding nine students -- one of them seriously, state media said.
