Sorry to say this but Tron predates me by a few years, so I wouldn't know. It was from the episode "Jewbilee". Kenny smashes his skull on a conch to free Moses, so Moses demands that they make paper plate bean shakers and macaroni pictures to honor him.

Little of topic, but reading this thread, it's interesting how Kraft's ad campaign a few years back to replace the term "mac and cheese" into just "KD" has worked. 5 years ago nobody used that term.

Ahh I see. It's funny you mention that. You're not the first to see the similarity:

My face is a bum!

I'm sitting on a gold mine. About 5 boxes of the old recipe sitting in my cupboard.
I save them for special occasions.
No butter, but enough milk a spoon is recommended. mmmmm.

But then you need to put it back on the heat for sa couple minutes stirring quite vigorously to not burn it. Thickens the sauce and makes it cheesier tasting. I usually eat the whole box then feel like for 2 hours, but its good.

This is how I make it except I use hardly any whole milk. I also add hot dogs and sprinkle with Hys Seasoning Salt.

Interesting how everybody jumps on KFC's Double Down as disgusting and fatty, when a box of KD has about 300 more calories in it. Doesn't change the fact that I still want some immediately, just something to ponder.

I make my KD without butter or milk.
Drain noodles, stir the powder in for like 10 seconds and the leftover water from inside the macaroni is more than enough to completely dissolve the powder. I have never ever had chunks of powder - these might be a result of adding butter and breaking the sauce. It makes the sauce sharper tasting because it's not diluted with oil or water.

Absolutely true. A box of KD has a ton of calories, even without the added milk and butter.

How much is a box of KD?
How much is the double down?
What will keep you alive longer when you're poor?

Anyone tried making it in the microwave? My co-worker swore it tasted better when made in the microwave but I can't remember why.
I personally like it with crushed red peppers sprinkled in and little ketchup on the side. Can't remember the last time I had any...but now I want it. Damn!
