I would always be scared to put an inexperienced player let alone a inexperienced girl at 3rd base.
The majority of the hardest nastiest head tearing off line drives coming off of a right handed bat are going into the third base area.
Most of the biggest collisions between runners and basemen is at third base (Does your league aloud sliding)
I've seen too many people on third base taking really painful injuries just due to the the activities on the hot corner.
Plus that third to 1st throw is a long one that needs to get there in a hurry.
