I work a full time job, play hockey hockey full time and my bills just like everyone else, but the fact is i dont have 8000$ to spend on hockey fees, and flights ... thats the min i would require to go play, i plan on getting a job while im there and paying for the cost of living.
I wasnt trying to be rude asking if you guys might no of some places to try for sponsorship, yes maybe i should have gone into better detail about the program my mistake ... but the fact is its a chance of a lifetime ... even here in Canada we only have 5 WWHL teams so thats a max of maybe 15 goalies so if i need to branch out to another Country to expand my resume just to stand out i am going to do that.

I think you're missing the point though. It sounds like you're looking for donations, but calling it a sponsorship. With a sponsorship, there is usually something in it for the sponsor (eg advertising). What exactly are you proposing to give a sponsor in return for their money?
If you agree this is a donation vs a sponsorship, what makes this a worthier cause than Haiti, cancer research, heart and stroke foundation, etc.?
This still reads to me like you want to do something and have convinced yourselves somebody else should pay for it. Well I'd like to snowboard in the Swiss Alps...anybody want to sponsor me?

Okay so what's your pitch? How frequent are the games? How many people attend each game? Are there restrictions in the league regarding what you can/cannot plaster all over yourself?
Who would your ideal sponsor be (that's realistic)? I mean, a Calgary company having their name on a rec league's goalie's pads in Australia would be pretty pointless. I still don't get what it is you have to offer.

Drop me a PM when you get here, I'd be happy to take you out for a schooner of beer and give you the lowdown on Brissy. Living here doesn't suck.

Well here is my goal, eventually i would like to be able to travel to Europe and play hockey, there hockey over there is sponsored 100% and like Australia they help find a job while you are there.
I wouldnt really call this Rec, Canada has 5 WWHL team but only 4 are active because of the lack of players and the huge cost for womens hockey. Australias teams do participate in tournys all over Europe but everytime they try and move up a DIV they get hammered and end up back down a DIV. From what i have read in the rule book i would need the logos to be apart of my gear meaning be made with the logo and for that i have found 2 people who do custom work at a decent price 1 being Agatone and the other PAW ( i think PAW is more my price range ) this is PAWS website www.protectiveathleticwear.com
As for a target company i no chances are slim to actually find a sponsor but there are 2 Oil Companys in town that currently do business in AUS that i would like to Target also 1 large company in town looking to expand over there. I no its a long shot to get full sponsors

The team you named on the last page is pretty much a rec team, I've played in Australia and outside of the top mens league all hockey down there is pretty much a rec league. It's still a good time, and the skill level is pretty good, but don't expect anything beyond what you'd find with a community team in Calgary.
You still seem to be mixing up the team you named and the national team. The women's national team plays in a lower division world championship (when they are held, which isn't all that often at the lower divisions) and have bounced between divisions over the last little while. I've never heard of an Australian club team playing in a European tournament outside of a group of guys throwing a team together as part of a vacation.
Be careful with slapping ads on things without getting the team and league you'll be playing in to okay it in advance, some teams have sponsors of their own and might not be okay with you wearing another sponsors logo. Odds are nobody will care, but you're better off clearing it just in case.

I am def aware that the hockey is not much better than 1 of our A teams in SAWHA here in Calgary, and when they came to Calgary in Jan i did go and watch them play so i no what to expect, i have heard ice time is expensive and very hard to get there ... but i was told they will be expanding where they play this year if the team can afford to. As for sponsors i have cleared that already, the team had 3 international players from last yr that have spent alot of the sponsor money. While there i was told we do alot of fund raising, car washes ect stuff like that to try and cover cost for more ice and more travel.

I'm sorry to say this to you, but you're story is different every time you tell it. National team/club team/rec team. I'm still don't understand how as a international player you think you would be invited to play on the National Team. I would think IIHF rules prohibit that.
You really need to make your message clearer.
At any rate, good luck following your dream.
