In the grand scheme of things, it's still on the lower end of things price-wise. Most of that stuff seems to be knock-off versions of designer (Eames, Castiglioni etc) furniture that costs thousands of dollars in reality. For example, their Cast lamp (a blatant knock-off of the famous Arco lamp by Achille Castiglioni) is $199....the real thing would set you back $3,000.
At that price range, that's the level of quality you can expect. Stuff that looks ok, but is not built to high-standards. The reason it's not as cheap as IKEA is that they probably can't do the same type of volume that IKEA can...but the idea is the same: designer "inspired" furniture for the masses. When it comes to furniture, you'd be very hard pressed to find anything that looks good, is built to last,
and happens to be affordable.
Btw on a side note, my girlfriend is an interior designer working for a company doing a house for Tom Hanks/Rita Wilson at the moment. I looked over some of the stuff they are buying.....$50,000 coffee tables, $25,000 side chairs.....it's just nuts what types of prices these people pay for. And this is is some random vacation house. Talk about living in an alternate universe.
