Pros/Cons of living in the community of Sherwood (NW Calgary)

Looks like Robin Hood and his Band of Merry Men are keeping Sherwood safe. No crimes have been reported there in the past six months (using the City of Calgary's Crime Map)

Where is Sherwood? I dont see it on my mls map. Or is on the north side of the ring road?

North of Stoney, west of Shaganappi.

And in regards to Sherwood, I'd hate to have a westerly wind with the dump exactly due west of you.

You can't smell the dump from Sherwood even if the wind is blowing west.

Can you get on to Stoney from Sherwood? I can't remember which way the ramps are currently oriented. If you can get going south on Stoney, it's a great commute...Stoney to Crowchild and into downtown is easy. In the bad old days, your only options were 14th Street, Shag, or the Deerfoot, which was miserable.

The whole stoney/shag interchange is fubar'd...so to make it easier:


-From southbound Shaganappi from Sherwood you can only access westbound Stoney.

-From northbound Shag you can't access Stoney....legally.

-You can only access Sherwood off of Stoney from westbound Stoney.
