Marmite is awesome! My shepherd's pie is very good but as I can't find minced lamb here in Calgary my hubbie has to settle for cottage pie (beef) instead. Meat and potatoes - what's not to like? (unless you are vegetarian like me....)

Dammit. Now I want pizza. But I'll be damned if I pay over $900 for it!

I'm going to have nightmares about that first guy. Haha as soon as I saw the pic, I gave it 3 posts before someone ripped on him. I wasn't disappointed. Ya that's definitely the kind of guy that would peddle caviar pie.

I've heard good things about Rea's and Il Centro, but I'm not sure how thin those crusts are. Pizza Bob's and Tom's house are decent, but I definitely like Gondola better.

There is a good pizza in Calgary. Had Una Pizza the other night (where the Wicked Wedge was). Really good thin crust pie.

That was my immediate reaction too.

Pulcinella has good thin crust. It is a Neapolitan style pizza but it isn't cheap.

Make your own thin crust at home, just use tortillas . It's actually pretty awesome X2 if you have a pizza stone.

Only been there a couple of times and it was good but I'm not really a thin crust kind of guy.

I've been there at least 6 times and never had a bad pie. Sounds like they don't like you.

The first time I went to Pulcinella, my pie was somewhat soggy. The second time it was much better. The fotz may have something here.

Not exactly "Italian Style" but Tom's House of Pizza makes an awesome thin crust pizza. And they use pretty high quality toppings. About once a month I get a craving for a #7 CJ's combo that has to be satisfied whatever time of the day it is. I have gone there at midnight, and sat in the lounge by myself to have one. Good thing I am only 5 minutes from one.
Also Il Centro is damn solid too if you are going for a more authentic experience.

What is considered Italian style? I know the thin crust we used to have used gondola's thin crust. How do the styles compare?

I don't know about Calgary but in Italy it is slightly thickened pomadero sauce, buffalo mozzerella with a sprinkle of fresh rocket on top.
