Honestly, it was the first thing I thought of too. I even asked a buddy of mine in Florida if they boarded up the windows on the SPTF. It's human nature. Simple fact is "15 people dead" is just a statistic, it is completely meaningless to those of us who havent been directly affected by the storm. The SPTF does hold a significant meaning because of the finals, thus the joke.
Hell, if Michael Moore can profit from the deaths of thousands of people, and be considered a cult hero for it, surely people who make off colour jokes can be cut some slack.
