I'll thank you Vulcan, I've been watching this show and find it very interesting as I always like war stuff and never really thought about the propaganda going towards it.

Reading some of the responses why are there so many dicks on CP now?

Well most of the major players are democratic enough that the news sources aren't controlled and the governments seem to need the people behind them to wage war and if they lose that backing the war grinds to a halt as in Viet Nam for the USA and even in Afghanistan for the USSR, the public had some say in the withdrawal.

In Germany, Hitler is telling the Germans that the Poles are attacking their German population in Poland and it's on the front pages every day, so the Germans feel righteous invading Poland.

Pretty much what happened in the recent Balkan wars.
