Flip, front windows are significantly cheaper than side windows. I've seen windows cost up to $900 for those small third windows on Mustangs.
I meant to say front drivers side window. Believe it or not I had to get a new one because someone stole my window. And didn't break anythinng or steal anything, they just jacked the window.

Why the hell is your decuctible that high? This should be a comp claim which SHOULD have a $250 ded.

But like someone said, insurance is NOT meant for minor claims. I really don't know why someone would even bother with such a small amount. Insurance is meant for large losses not easily covered by the owner.

The number of times I hear people play the "why do i pay for insurance" can get frustrating at times.

The guy I spoke to today who flipped his car 3 times going down the 22x sure isn't asking that question.

I have heard about groups that break into cars to specifically steal the insurance card for identity theft purposes.
You'll want to order your free credit reports from Equifax and Transunion. This will show recent applications for credit.

I believe you can also register a note on your file indicating that this document was stolen...

I can tell you right now it is funny in hindsight but I was pissed at the time. I left my window open just a crack and when I came back to my car my window was completely gone.

This happened to me with an old van I had. They took my pink slips and found my home address. Upon arriving at home, I found my house was also broken into and many things were stolen.

This is why I never keep my insurance or registration in my car, always in my wallet. Was your house ok?

I paid ~$470 for my driver's window in my old car. It was a 2-door, so a bigger window. Someone smashed it to take my parking pass so they didn't have to pay $24 for their parking.

The pass was sitting on $6 in loonies that they didn't take.

I paid $470 for some hole's parking.
