I think anybody celebrating Pi day, will not be celebrating Steak and BJ day.

I used to know a guy (bit of a different dude) who threw an annual Pi Day party. In order to attend, you had to memorize the first 14 digits of Pi. If you didn't know them, you were still allowed in the house but you had to stay in a certain room he had designated as "Pi-gatory" until you got it right. I actually went one year out of curiousity and it was amazing how many people were there - it was actually kind of fun.

So I guess that raises the question of how many places of pi do you have memorized.

14 for me.

Hmmm, lets give this a whirl in white. Long time since that grade 6 competition.

3.14159265358..979...3...23...struggling.

edit: 17 it is. Photon, how do you only get to 14? 9793 is a good block for memorizing after the previous 4 numbers.

Is it really possible or necessary to have a memory contest for pi on the internet?

This is all I could remember off the top of my head without cheating.

Spoiler!

i was going to wish you guys happy pi day...but i couldn't be sure to get it exactly correct.
