After reading this thread it looks like Kauai is too nice to pass up. Does anyone have any thoughts on Expedia or Travelocity?

When going to Hawaii, can I use a Rogers phone (BB Bold) or how does that work? Will they charge some crazy rate for roaming?

It's a phone with a Canadian carrier and you're going to use it in another country. It's a no brainer, bend over.

Better question is why use your phone at all? You're on vacation.

I had a pretty good inclination that it may be expensive to use a Canadian plan. Does anyone know if you can do something along the lines of a prepaid card and stick it in a Rogers phone?

I was just looking at this place. Looks good, calm waters.. may be busy but that's ok.

I just got back two weeks ago and all I can say is WOW!!!! Very laid back and easy going. The best snorkeling I found was at Anini Beach and at Lydegate but I was with my 9year old and they where the most calm but awesome!!!!!!
Make sure to hit Hanalei Bay and give surfing a go and Ke'e beach was a great spot to walk for miles in the sand.
What I found was to spend all your time snorkeling and playing in the ocean on the weekdays and do the canyon and some of the other sites on the weekend. But even on the busy days the beaches are not as crowded as some of the other Islands.(not even close)

I know that the Superferries are not running anymore, but I am having no luck finding any sort of small ferry or water taxi to take me from Kona to Maui.

Do not care to fly, just want to get out on the water and see Maui for the day during my trip.

Are there small water taxis in Kona or Hilo which do not have websites?

Less than 2 weeks. Still no big plans, I'm going to play it by ear I think. See where the roads take me, stumble across little towns..

It's going to be great!
