Bilodeau, because he was first Canadian athlete to win gold on home soil, AND he beat out a traitor to get it.
Rochette, well I don't need to explain why.
3rd pending tomorrow.

I think Jon Montgomery's gold medal performance really had most impact on me. I know nothing about the sport, but watching his run, to me it looked *perfect*. It was great to see him come away with the victory. Of course, his antics after the race will be remembered for years to come.

This is a great thread.
I completely agrre with Jay here.
JC's gold medal stunned me. He was quite far behind after he first run and suddenly caught up and won gold. His history is facinating and he was as deserving of a gold as any athelite at the games.
And anyone that has his kids in the stands with a sign that says "Go Papa" is deserving of our applause.
This is what the Olympics is all about.

Definitely Rochette's bronze for me. I've gone through some pretty bad experiences in my life. One that happened last July even forced me to seek counseling. But none of them even compare to having her lose her mom and then two days later compete and eventually win a medal. She's made me realize those experiences really weren't all that bad and inspires me to be a stronger person.

Rochette and Montgomery easily.
Rochette had the story/inspiration, Montgomery had the pure joy, appreciation, and elation that all winning athletes should have had.

What a classless thing to say. If you think the performance wasn't worthy of being an inspiration then that is fine as that is your opinion. But to say "everyone dies give it a rest" is a stupid thing to say. Everyone's moms don't die the day before they are supposed to perform at the Olympic Games in a sudden death (she wasn't even sick for a long time or anything). She was 55 years old and died of a sudden heart attack. She planned on watching her daughter skate at the games live. Joannie showed tremendous heart and courage for even skating let alone winning a medal.

1. Joannie Rochette: The emotional connection I had with her all week I will never forget for the rest of my life.
2. Virtue & Moir: Have watched them since they were little, danced with Scott's brother, I love them, and they had an absolutely amazing performance
3. Alex Bilodeau: Just happened to flip the channel from the pairs short program to see his run..I was so proud! (and he's really cute too!)
4.Didn't get a medal, but I really enjoyed watching a close training friend, Vaughn Chipeur, compete in the men's figure skating competition..despite missing his triple axle's!

1. Kevin Martin - perfect week
2. Alex Bilodeau - first gold on home soil
3. If Canada win's gold in hockey it will rank here, if not I'd put Jon Montgomery
4. Two teams of women who won gold and silver in bobsled - total domination
5. Virtue & Moir - skating together since they were kids
6. Everyone else who won a medal tied

Virtue&Moir. I usually don't like figure skating but they were awesome and have so much chemistry together. They're so much fun to watch.
Rochette did really well in her circumstances.

I have to go with Anderson racing in what might be one of his final races and winning gold.
Rochette winning a bronze under her personal circumstances is also memorable.
Clara Huges because of her age, the number of Olympic games she has been in and that she was the flag bearer too.
Maelle Ricker deserves honorable mention because she did fall on that first run, but got up and gutted it out to get to the finals in her event and than came through.
But it's been a great Olympics and a lot of memorable moments for Canada. Hopefully the mens hockey team can give us one more.
