I feel bad for some players on the team but I'm really laughing it up right now at the team Canada management and coaching staff. Most mismanaged team in the tournament and the team was coached out of a win tonight.
"Hey let's put the lazy Perry out with 1 minute left and not rest our top line after that amazing shift to stick them back out, that will work out well for sure!"
Oh well USA played a great game, Miller was unreal and the top line was absolutely invisible until Iggy was back on it, surprise surprise.

Dammit.
I thought Iggy played well for us when he was out there. I contiinue to be really impressed by Toews and Doughty's work ethic; I'd give my eye teeth to have Doughty on my team. Beyond that, our defense wasn't playing well -- Pronger was terrible -- and Brodeur cost us the game.

Surprisingly Im not at all worried. Canada, outhit, outshot, and outchanced USA by a large margin. Unfortunately Miller soundly outplayed Brodeur. So they have to play 1 more game than the other teams, big deal. Now the hockey counts for something. USA-outside of Miller did not impress me that much.

Brodeur better not play again. Nothing but respect for the guy but time to move on.

1. Out goaltended
2. Outcoached (again)
3. Some shoddy refereeing early

I can't fathom why we didn't take a timeout with a minute left so that we could get the Iggy line out there.
All in all though this game was lost because Brodeur played like an AHLer.

It will be interesting to see who is in net now vs Germany. If it was my call Luongo would start. Difference tonight was goaltending. Miller was much better then Brodeur and that was the difference.
Canada now plays Germany on Tuesday. We can't look past them. They aren't good at all but we lost to Swiss last time. Anything can happen.
Oh and Canada beats Germany, Russia, USA, and Sweden/Finland to win the gold medal. BOOK IT!

I think Fleury should play the next game, but what do I know?

The refereeing was also pretty effing bad. We should have had at least twice as many PPs as the US.

What Im not impressed with is Babcock's coaching decisions. I think Quenneville would of been a better coach for Canada.

If Canada doesn't go all the way with Luongo in goal, I bet there will be alot of CPers blaming him whether its deserved or not.

Maybe. But this sure as heck looks a lot like a team that finds ways to lose.

Relax, Crosby fans. I'm actually giving him a compliment.

He was a -3 tonight. Although I blame that on Brodeur playing like a bum.
