The Olympics should be about representing your team and your country, not showboating or wearing the flashiest skates.

If he wore those in the all-star game I wouldn't have a problem with it. That's the point of the all-star game. Even if he wore them during regular season game, whatever. But it's not exactly in the Olympic spirit.

And just because I don't like the man's skates doesn't mean I'm a hater. It means I don't like his skates.

Have you people never played hockey before - gold laces? Those are the old tried and true wax laces that supposedly hold the knot better. They have been around since tube skate days.
