The new goggles also do nothing.

Regular priced items?! Wow that's a pretty big caveat.

The reason Visions haggles is because their prices are too high to start with (I just went TV shopping for a friend and saw the $200 higher TVs at Visions vs. elsewhere).

If that's the case, i will purchase the tv at regular price, then submit a price match request to the vision's headquarter.

I was just wondering what other people's experience was with Visions extended warranty was. My 50 plasma just crapped out and the repair place said it was a panel, so they are going to send the estimate to visions and they will get back to me. Does anyone know how long this takes? Thanks

FYI, anyone who pays full price at Future Shop is a sucker, you can bargain with them just the same as Visions, most people just don't bother.

Bought a TV at Visions just over a year ago, also bought the extended warranty. However, a week later Best Buy had the same TV on sale for $200 less. While I had to initiate, I did recieve $200 CASH from Visions. Pretty sweet deal I think.

Yup, but I have noticed that you need to get a decent salesman that can knows the system. I had some younger guy at the FS in Shawnessy tell me "the item is already on sale so I can't do anything" only to find the guy at the FS in Deerfoot Meadows find me a way better price after messing around with the coding on some Superbowl promotion they were having.

I have $369 coming back to me, can I walk in the store and grab something of that value or do they make you spend a certain amount above your refund?
I was told (but didn't read the fine print on my warranty yet) that the warranty amount can only be 50% of the purchase price of whatever you're buying, and that you have to use it all in one purchase, otherwise you lose it.

So on my ~$300 of warranty, my impression was that I would have to buy a $600 item to get the full $300 credit.

I can't confirm this though.

I've been through this twice in 3 years (bad luck!).

After someone does a repair estimate, they usually get back to you in a week.

If it is an expensive repair (usually it is) they will offer you a replacement TV. If you want to upgrade to a better one, you can apply the cost of the TV to the cost of the upgraded TV....so it is a good time to upgrade if your willing to spend more money.
