"Conan is a Cimmerian (based somewhat loosely on the Celts), a barbarian of the far north."

Even a well-tanned Conan would be more red than a brown or bronze (us scots tan like donkeys ice-skate). Arnold could use some freckles, but looks waaaaaaay more scottish than this new guy.

Maybe my memory misgives me, but the original Conan movies were schlocky trash that entertained solely on the basis of being so horrifically bad that they were hilarious. So that's already been done, and if they are doing a remake they don't need another complete meathead who can't act to play the title role. Which is why this guy works - and if he looks small in comparison to Arnie, well, who doesn't?
