No, you have it backwards. "Conspiracy Ken" believes- that the idea is to take a call that is normally just around 58 seconds and drag it onto 1:02. Those of us paying by the second pay an extra penny; and you guys on by the miniute billing pay for the whole extra minute.

Well I would have to time how long it would take me to leave a message, I was assuming it only took me about 30 seconds. Thus a few extra seconds wouldn't have made a difference, but maybe it does take closer to a minute to leave a message. I will have to time it one of these days.

I think if you press "1" you can get them to say "message erased" and "next message" quicker (or use 1 to skip over each statement entirely).

My assumption was that voicemail wasn't free because you're not allowed to add it to your "Fave 5's" or whatever that gimmick is called. (I'm with Telus, fwiw)
