I couldn't believe how empty the roads were driving to work this morning.

Work for myself - think I got an hour of solid work done today. I rewarded myself with scotch.

We have unpaid shutdown this week. Its typically pretty slow for the entire month of December. I would've been crazy busy if I was at work due to a new project I was given in October. Everyone else in my building has been clock watching and talking about how they couldn't find anything to do since Thanksgiving. I'm happy for the break, even though I managed to get sick. Next week I'll be hammered with work again.

I was pretty flat-out busy - I guess that puts me in the minority here. A lot of my clients seem to think it's a good idea to send me work right before Christmas with an early January deadline.

This week has been much busier than in years past (retail building supplies), and we'll probably stay open until about 3pm today. We had customers in the store right up to our 3pm close on Christmas eve also!

As an IT sales guy, this should be the busiest day of the year. I don't know if there's anything I can do to push sales through, though. I really depend on our operations team today.

Still, we got an email early today saying to "fasten your seat belts."

Dead at work. I have had two e-mails and no phone calls other than from my wife. Property claims are slow right now.

Its a ghost town here. I have a few things I need to get done before the end of the month but nothing out of the ordinary. I'll head home at noon.

Well the Courthouse is as busy as hell and I'm not so sure that half the members of CP aren't Justice of the Peace Officers, the way they call someone in their 5X5 sh#t shell of an 'office'.
I swear these must be the most useless people on the planet today!
Been here for an hour already, need to replenish my parkplus meter's belly, and want to off myself right here, right now!

I think I heard my help desk phone ring once yesterday. Not yet today. Most of our locations are closed between Christmas and New Years. Our largest location is open, and they're getting me to order a lot of stuff for them before the end of the day. The sales reps I've been talking to are pretty swamped this week. Lots of last minute purchases that need to be done before 2009 ends. Looks like my part is done, now I'll just take care of a lot of little tasks and loose ends before the end of the day.

With only 12 people in the office, 2 of which are part timers who go home at noon, I suspect the boss will tell us to go home an hour or two early. It has been pretty slow this week though.
