Fido tried to screw me once.
Told me I won a free Sony Ericsson cell phone, stupid me accepted (even though I told them I already had a cell through Telus) I gave them some info and they sent it over. I never touched it or opened the box, I figured I would use it in case of emergency.
Like 2 years later I get a bill from Fido for like $800. Apparently the phone was magically activated and costing money. LOL! So I filed a complaint with the BBB, wrote letters to Fido, the Herald, Sun, the whole 9.
Fido then tells me they will waive the fees except I still have to pay for the phone. $300. HAHA! Ya not happening. So I have got a few calls from collection agencies but they sympathize and aren't going through with it. Although my case is still technically open, I suspect I will get a call in the future. Or somebody who lives in this house in the future will.
