LOL looks like hockey just recruited it's newest fan!
I am putting my money on Oliwa getting his ass handed to him... He wasn't that tough on the ice and take away the skates and he is just a tall tree ready to be chopped down and brought to the pulp mill... Sorry Oliwa fans Are there actually Oliwa fans??
He's Polish. Thats like calling a Canadian an American. Not the same.
Who needs wrestling ability at all when you're the 7 time WORLDS STRONGEST MAN. He will literally destroy anyone he faces. Ever. I don't care how technical a fighter someone is, one shot from Marius and they're probably dizzy and concuss.
I'm a fan of Pudzianowski, but if he goes into a fight with say, oh Lesnar, and hes throwing wild kicks like that with his hands around his waist he'll end up on his ass. Strength is great and everything and he has tons of it, but a skilled fighter who wont turtle like the schmuck in that video will keep his eyes open and on Pudz, and drop him.
He may be insanely strong, but its hard to put muscle on a chin. If he wants to be a MMA pro he better keep his hands up.

Ya Pudz has one fight and that dood in the video it was his first pro fight as well.
Also I am reading on the Sherdog forums that Pudz is denying this fight with Oliwa, saying it is just a rumour. Hopefully get some sources soon.

He's fighting in an obscure promotion cause its his first venture into MMA ever and he probably got offered a lot more to fight in Poland where he's crazy famous then something dumb like WEC.
I'd be really curious to see Marius fight Lesnar. I don't think Marius would be the easiest guy to take down and as long as there up, trading blows I don't think Marius would have that much to worry about.
Read this earlier and took exception to it. The WEC isn't "dumb", nor is it somewhere that a heavyweight could fight. The WEC is partners with the UFC. They are the lighter weight classes, the only overlap between UFC and WEC is Lightweight. WEC handles everything lighter than that.
The WEC has some of the best fights you'll ever see, don't simply dismiss it because you don't know about it.

You don't win the Worlds Strongest Man title by an arm wrestle. Im sure Marius has stamina.
Imagine if he does actually start training though, Wow.
Pudzianowski does train, pretty much full time now by what I have seen. He was also an amateur boxer back in the day and has a green belt in Kyokushin Karate(same kind as GSP and Bas Rutten) which he has practiced in since he was young.
Cardio will be a problem for him if he goes guns blazing like he did in his first fight and can't finish it. He will need to learn to pace himself if he is going to be a good MMA fighter.

With Kyokushin as your only real skill you will get smashed. The only reason kyokushin works for those you mentioned is because they have many other skills that they can use along with karate. St.Pierre has great striking, but he also has a really good ground game, AMAZING WRESTLING, and insane strength for his size.
As for those who have mentioned how big Pudzianowski is, being big and muscular is not much of a benefit if you have very few skills. Too much muscle will almost always cause you to gas out, your muscles just require so much oxygen....
Example;
Bob Sapp 6'4 weighing in at a slim 340 lbs. The video below he is fighting Minowa, who is about 5'9 and 200 lbs, where he proceeds to lose. Fight starts about 4:45 in, and ends around 5:55

What people are saying about his size is all strength related. I mean he competes against people all roughly the same times but dominates the worlds strongest man competition. He is ridiculously strong, not just big.

I don't know if you get this, but lifting giant cannonballs and pulling fire trucks doesn't win you MMA fights.
2 different sports my friend, and they are very loosely related.

Strength is one of many components that will help you be successful in the ring. It is nowhere near the most important... It also looks as if a guy that big will have trouble throwing certain punches, and kicks, as well his ground game will be seriously lacking because he'll have minimal flexibility. The minute he faces a decent wrestler he will be ruined.
From what I heard the guy he was fighting had no wrestling or ground skills whatsoever.
If you look at all the greatest fighters in world there are very few that have a lot of size, Brock Lesnar and Shane Carwin are both very big fighters, but both also have very strong Wrestling credentials, I believe both were NCAA Division champs.....
Other than that the greatest fighter on the planet is in no where near that kind of shape.
Also to note, if this guy fights Aleksander Emelianenko, he will get absolutely destroyed, unless he can knock him out with the first punch he throws, because that will likely be his only opportunity..... Aleks is no joke.
