You do realize first and foremost that these pictures were posted on the official Liberal part website, not some off shoot site but the web site of the official opposition.

You do realize that the Liberal's raised a massive stink during Puffin gate right, this is far worse, and Ignatief who has final say on any communications for the Liberal party has shown again that he's having trouble controling whats coming out of his party right?

Unlike Puffingate these images are far more insulting, disturbing and in a couple of images outright disgusting.

This is further indication of the utter failure of Ignatief who is turning out to be a poor choice if the Liberal's want to re-invent themselves. For lack of a better word, Michael is looking like the Sarah Palin of Canada without the long lucious legs and formidable rack.

When the Puffingate broke the media was all over it, the talking heads were all over it, there were angry posts here about it.

I'm not angry about it, I find it sad and wrong.

Is Michael Ignatief the right choice to lead the Liberal party? I don't see it, he's out of touch, he hasn't shown any real strategic talent and he's all over the map.

Unfortunately for the Liberal's we've heard that Bob Rae is pushing for the leadership role in that party, another lousy choice when it comes to gaining voters in Ontario.

I wouldn't be surprised if Ignatief is back teaching scrubbed young faces at Harvard by this time next year.
I am just annoyed that politics in this country has become a debate about tasteless cartoons and 'he said she said' drama. It is completely irrelevant BS. It is the same reason why I hate that the media focuses on some american golf player because he killed a hooker or whatever. Why do we dwell on this when we have far more pressing issues to talk about?

I think we have major problems when people could care less about rising national debt and foreign affairs matters than they care about some stupid entry in a photoshopping contest. If you think the Liberal party wants to assassinate Harper, you are stupid.

Catching our hated rival party with their pants down has become far more important than actual debate about the issues of the day.

Oh I don't disagree with that, but to be honest, half of the people in this country don't pay attention to politics, don't care about the economy or the environment or taxation planning. You can blame people for it all you want because they dictate what sells paper, however you cannot deny the deliciousness of this situation. Besides, when you decide on what party to vote for doesn't the stupid acts that they do factor into your voting scheme? Especially when a party like the Liberal's really haven't put forward a good policy idea since Ignatief took over?

What else do we have to judge the party performance on right at this moment in time?

Wow, where did I say anywhere that this picture eludes to the Liberal's wanting to assasinate Harper? Its a picture thats presented in incredibly bad taste, its a amazingly crazy and stupid that anyone would post a picture like that on the parties primary website. for a party thats struggling to regain any form of purchase on the voter landscape, allowing this picture to "slip through the cracks" illustrates almost as much incompetance as the joker who put the book "Hot Air" on the shelf behind Dion during his speech.

I agree with this and it would be nice, but the Liberal's and NDP have to accept as much blame as the conservatives. When was the last time that the Liberal party put out a credible policy or alternative?

I hate the fact that the opposition parties don't oppose and suggest, they just snarl and bitch. This government needs a good swift kick in the a$$ by a boot filled with common sense and concrete.

When I cast my vote one of the major things I consider is the ability of the particular parties to show discretion and make smart decisions. A party deciding that it's a good idea to stage a photoshop contest and have it run by what appear to be a bunch of inept fools indicates a total lack of ability in the realm of decision making. When you make decisions that are so glaringly stupid on small matters it doesn't lend a lot of confidence to your ability to make tough decisions.

And I'm not a supporter of any party in Canadian politics, I hate them all at the moment.

Sorry, that was my bad englishification skills coming out. I did not mean to imply that you or anyone actually thinks that, I am just saying that it is all vain.

I didn't read everything here, just looked at the pictures. What a disgrace. I think some of the pictures are mildly amusing, but the assasination image is so far over the one that I won't vote for the Liberals anymore. It might mean a spoiled ballot, but it leaves me without someone to get behind federally.

I've seen way worse, and certainly more offensive images elsewhere - but what's bugging me about this whole thing is not the images, the photoshopping, Harper, or any party politics. Its just that, aw come on guys - we're talking about the Prime Minister here. Personal opinion about him notwithstanding, a political party sponsoring a contest that mocks the Prime Minister, points back on its self and makes a mockery of Canadian politics in general.

Not only is it oxymoronic, its in poor taste, too.
