p.s. i think u might need a referral from your doc for CCC..by the way its on 6th ave i think

Brief therapy referrals by calling Acess Mental health at 403-943-1500. Weekdays 7:30am to 7pm

No referal needed. Just call the intake line as they will assign you someone based on the info you give them.

thats good..i went about ten years ago and i had to get a referral back then i pretty sure..oh and as far as the calgary south thing..all they do there is refer you to a psychiatrist..which is much different than a councellor..and wayyyyyyy more expensive...though if u go through a doctor u can get a free assesment from a psychiatrist

I suppose it depends what your relationship with your family doctor is. I have had the same guy for close to 30 years, and he has absolutely no issues sitting and talking with me. In fact when I came in to ask him for a referral, he asked me to wait for him to get a few other patients out of the way so he could sit down with me, and make sure everything was okay. But then again, my family doctor isn't a jerk, and doesn't look at mental health as a waste of health care resources.
