Karaoke's no fun unless you're in front of a bar full of shocked/dismayed patrons.

That being said, there is such a place, it's just behind Pacific Plaza (? I can't remember the exact name) near Memorial/36th Ave NE. It had a big orange sign in a plaza. I went there with a bunch of my wife's co-workers, and we all found the accompanying videos hilarious.

Anything from 1979 to 1991.

I will not under any circumstances sing anything from the 90s.

I will be happy to sing any cheesy 80 ballads or rock or pop or new wave, etc. Of course, being that I am in my 20s, these are never the songs that people my age pick so I guess I have never enjoyed karaoke very much!

That is awesome. How does it go over with the crowd? Do they sing from their tables or do they sit there with a "WTF??" look on their faces? I've never even seen this song as an option before. Love that song.

My fave is the standard "Don't stop believin".

A few years back my friends and I were running amok at a stagette in the Dominican, we convinced the bar staff to turn on their karaoke machine had the entire bar, everyone from the bar next door and a "learn how to dance the merengue" class from down the street come to sing this one with us. We could see people air guitaring out on the street and people singing away while eating at the restaurant across the road.
It was kind of like one of those moments in a musical where everyone just starts singing and dancing out of nowhere. It was great, one of my favorite memories ever.

Good ol' Journey - bringing drunk folks together since 1981.
