Wrong. Jim Morrison is a legend because he was epicly awesome when he was alive.

Jim Morrison was a drunk-ass ba**ard posing as a poet. Now a band like The Guess Who were such drunk-ass ba**ards it was...poetic.

- Or something like it...from "Almost Famous"

It's common knowledge that Jim Morrison faked his death, changed his name to Mr. Mojo Risin and moved to Africa.

Not trying to be a dick or anything...honest.

How do you hold anger after 30 years for the death of someone you never knew? (an honest question. I was only 14 at the time...so I don't really understand the significance of his early death, or life for that matter) What was it about him in your mind that causes more anger for you than the average murder on the streets of Calgary?

The "average guy who gets killed in the streets of Calgary" probably didn't have 1/1000000th of the impact on the rest of the world that John Lennon did.

That's not intend to be callous or anything, btw.

One of the greatest and most influential songwriters of all time. He's still missed to this very day.

I was listening to the Flames on the radio while doing grade 10 homework. I can still hear the terse words at intermission: "John Lennon is dead."

Rest in Peace, John.

So? I'd rather she had died than him. It's an honest thought, think of me however you must. Certainly seen worse things said about Yoko.

No doubt that its an honest thought. But really, is it a thought worth sharing?

I guess I misjudged people's affection for Yoko Ono.

Yoko Ono is weird, but no one is going to be on your side when you bash the widow of the guy you are supposed to commemorating. Lennon loved her.

John Lennon's Death: It Happened.

Or did it? The only one who knows for sure is Tower!

...and maybe Yoko.

Turn off your mind, relax, and float downstream. It is not dying. It is not dying.
Lay down all thoughts, surrender to the void. It is shining. It is shining.
That you may see the meaning of within. It is being. It is being.
That love is all and love is everyone. It is knowing. It is knowing.
That ignorance and hate may mourn the dead. It is believing. It is believing.
But listen to the color of your dreams. It is not living. It is not living.

Or play the game existence to the end. Of the beginning. Of the beginning...

John Lennon....with some of his famous friends (not the Beatles). I love this.
