This discussion begins and ends with A Christmas Story.
"Fragile(fra gee lay), it must be Italian!!"
Deck the harrs with boughs of horry, fa ra ra ra ra, ra ra ra ra!!!
Tis the season to be jorry!! fa ra ra ra ra, ra ra ra ra!
100% Agree! A Christmas Story brings back memories of what it was like leading up to the big day, totally focused on what I wanted for Christmas. I can never get tired of that movie.
"Only one thing in the world could've dragged me away from the soft glow of electric sex gleaming in the window."
"Randy lay there like a slug! It was his only defense! "
Ralphie: Meanwhile, I struggled for exactly the right BB gun hint. It had to be firm, but subtle. "Flick says he saw some grizzly bears near Pulaski's candy store!"
[everyone stares at Ralphie]
They looked at me as if I had lobsters crawling out of my ears.
A Christmas Story is probably my favorite, and a lot of the others mentioned are great, but I'm going old school and bringing It's a Wonderful Life into the discussion.
MARY!

I can't believe most people have never seen Ren and Stimpy. There have got to be about 10-20 R&S episodes that rival any Simpsons, SP, Futurama etc episodes for pure brilliance and hilarity.

1. It stars The Fonz at the height of his Fonzarellian fame.
2. Filmed in Canada. Lots o' supporting parts filled by ubiquitous CanCon actors of that time, like Chris Wiggins and R.H. Thompson.
3. Hilarious pimpin' "Ghost of Christmas Future" scene.
For years my favourite has been Scrooged starring Bill Murray. Lately though I have really enjoyed Nat'l Lampoon's Christmas Vacation and it may be taking over the top spot for me soon.
It's A Wonderful Life is still the one movie that brings back the most memories for me as far as sitting around and watching it with my family. I hope to have the same tradition with my kids.
All the above posters should be banned for failing to mention anything involving the Muppets.
"Even the vegetables don't like him!"
Having trouble finding one with good quality, but this is the best part of the Muppet Christmas Special.
and from muppet christmas carol

-Muppet Family Christmas (Muppets, Fraggle Rock and Sesame Street)

This one might sound kind of weird, but for the last few years my wife and I have invited friends and family over to watch 'Love, Actually.' We're having this year's gathering tomorrow, and I get to surprise my wife with an early Christmas gift as I bought her the movie on Blu-Ray.
I really want to get my hands on a copy of the 'Muppets Christmas Carol.' My wife has never actually seen an episode of the Muppet show or any of the movies, so that has to be remedied!
For some good ole fashion 80's cheese we like to watch One Magic Christmas. Used to be on CBC every year but since it's about an angel (Harry Dean Stanton) dressed up like a hobo and talking to little kids I think CBC maybe figured it sends a bad message.
My wife and I used to watch Home Alone when we decorated the tree. I finally got her to watch Christmas Vacation and we changed to that. Now we have kids and we have kids specials like Rudolph. I like to watch Christmas Vacation and Elf at least once or twice over the Christmas season.
Scrooged, Christmas Vacation, and Rudolph. Christmas Story is close there, but not needed.
I have to sit down one day and watch/try and get through the Star Wars Christmas Special. I also remember that Muppets one, as it blew my mind that Sesame Street characters were hanging out with Muppet show characters. As a child, I couldn't grasp that concept.

We always watch White Christmas on Christmas Day. Some singing and dancing with Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye is our holiday traditon.
